I use TriNet HR Plus on a daily basis in my organization. TriNet HR Plus addresses all HR and Payroll issues that arise. I use TriNet HR Plus for Payroll and HR issues.

Cons

  • Sometimes I find it a little difficult to know exactly where to navigate
  • I would love an easier way to navigate forms
  • More information on HR Compliance classes

Return on Investment

  • It has had a positive impact by streamlining our needs
  • TriNet HR Plus allows me to have extra time to complete other tasks which saves us money.
  • The only issue that was negative was a w-2 issue that resulted in underpayment for an employee

We used TriNet HR Plattfom for primarily processing payroll. It does provide us with the basic information to generate reports to manually process information into our Accounting System. It would be nice to have some kind of integration with our accounting system.

Pros

  • The reports generated for entering payroll into our accounting system is easy to read and understand
  • The Vacation and Sick time accrual reports makes it easy for year end.
  • The information on anniversary dates for vesting is very useful.

Cons

  • Integration with Accounting system
  • Issues of out of cycle payroll can be better presented
  • There should be safeguards in place to prevent inadvertently transfer funds more than once by mistake

Return on Investment

  • Since I started, I have nothing to compare this to see we were already on TriNet
  • We have not benchmark this.
  • We probably have only used the more basic features

TriNet HR Platform: A Good Fit for Us and Companies Like US

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

TriNet HR Platform supports an HR department of 1, for our 50 FTE+ company. It is our HRIS platform for onboarding, compliance, benefits, payroll, taxes, HR analytics, expenses, performance management, and recruiting. It is a single centralized source of confidential information that seamlessly speaks across its internal platform, and provides some APIs that connect to external platforms (Sage/Intacct, Microsoft BI, etc).

Pros

  • Payroll

  • Off-the-shelf HR analytics
  • Customer support (chat, direct)

Cons

  • APIs could be more robust
  • TriNet HR Platform Perform (performance management) could be more customizable

Return on Investment

  • Minimized need for additional FT or PT HR support
  • Controlled annual insurance renewal costs
  • Provides EPLI as part of standard package/no additional charge

We mostly use TriNet for HR compliance, benefits, and payroll services. TriNet HR Platform offers competitive benefits plans and rates that would be very difficult for us to obtain as a small to mid-sized company.

  • Integration with other apps

Cons

  • Employee solution center used to be more responsive
  • I am told multiple ways to contact different teams at Trinet. It would be great if it was more centralized.
  • I wish the compensation benchmark report function was free

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We're using Zenefits to manage all our employee information from hiring, time off, payroll, through the process of termination. Zenefits integrates really well with our applicant tracking system too, so that makes for seamless processes of selection and recruiting. Zenefits solves several key issues of information available for our managers and forth the members of our team to connect with one another: contact info, PTO schedules, and approvals.

  • Ease of use and level of customization for managers
  • integration of all HR functions under one platform

Cons

  • A few things about setting up payroll have been a bit glitchy, notably the inability to record a permanent as well as a work mailing address for some employees.

  • Simple hiring and employee documentation

Return on Investment

  • Great ROI. It replaced a system (no system) which was free but messy and hard to organize. Zenefits has been worth it for our small HR department.
