Overall Satisfaction with ZeroBounce
We use ZeroBounce as a second set of eyes when doing regular data hygiene checks. Out marketing automation system and CRM only have so much space, so we regularly purge contacts from these systems if they are determined to be unreachable (for marketing) or unqualified (for sales). Before deleting them entirely, we will run them through ZeroBounce to see if they are truly unreachable or if we should try sending them another email.
Pros
- Easy to use
- Great analysis and suggested next steps
- Lots of integration options
Cons
- Dashboard is a little cluttered
- Catch-all validations are pretty unhelpful
- Cost savings by not having to buy extra storage for our other databases
- Improved deliverability
- Enhanced data integrity
ZeroBounce has been very accurate in removing invalid emails from our lists. It has several categories an email can be put into, but invalid is by far the most telling and helpful to us as it means the record can either be deleted entirely, or sales needs to act on that account and find a better person to reach out to.
The accuracy of ZeroBounce has kickstarted projects to clean up our data or organize it accordingly. With the different validations it gives back, you can divide the work between different teams. If emails are marked invalid on a customer list, inform sales that they need to update the account's primary contact. If they're marked valid, pass it to the marketing automation team to get those people back into the marketing funnel.
I definitely think ZeroBounce has the proper security measures in place. It will delete your list and results after a certain period of time so that this data isn't just sitting in the system. You can also manage different users and their access to only give them what they need.
We considered AtData since it was recommended by a colleague who has used it in the past. We ultimately ended up going with ZeroBounce based on the cost and documentation/resources available. Email validation tools are probably very similar, but ZeroBounce seemed the simplest for us, and we needed to implement one fast, so activation time was very quick.
