Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We mainly use Zight to communicate with clients. The other use for Zight is for internal communication. Zight makes communication so much easier. Being able to send screenshots and screen recordings to clients with easy annotations is invaluable. Having an app that quickly improves communication is well worth the investment.

Usability

If someone is used to using internal screen capture software Zight may have a small learning curve. Luckily, once you get the hang of your new capture method, it is a quick process. Updates can be tedious. Although I am glad the team is working on the application and consistently improving it.

Alternatives Considered

Microsoft Windows, Snagit, Lightshot, Greenshot and Screenpresso

Zight is more integrated and easier to use in most cases. Zight has many functions that overlap with its competitors; however, in many cases, the quick and lightweight functionality allows Zight to outshine or incorporate with the competitors' workflow. Zight can be helpful as a tool to create content, but also a great tool for quick on-demand communication, which allows it to fit in a category all its own.

Likelihood to Recommend

Sharing screen captures of different formats and annotating them to improve communication helps with internal and external workflow. Different departments communicate much more easily when they can visually and textually inform the team of what goals need to be done or have been done. It also helps make communication easier to communicate with. Allowing the technical team to communicate with the PMs and clients more effectively saves time and money.
