Overall Satisfaction with Zight
I am in a client-facing role I use Zight daily. Its screenshot and video recording features make it easy to explain concepts, share updates, and demonstrate product workflows clearly and quickly. Instead of long emails or meetings, you can send short, visual messages that reduce misunderstandings and speed up decision-making. Zight also helps you keep communication organized, track views, and present information in a more engaging, professional way when working directly with clients.
Pros
- Screenshot capture & Sharing.
- Easy to set up CTAs.
- Video recording & sharing is very quick and easy.
Cons
- just like any learning model it does take some time for the transcriptions to be 99% accurate.
- There are times where recording appear to be a bit blurry making the experience not as professional.
- there are some UI issues when it comes to video recording and editing that limit the amount of customization when sharing.
- fast time to value. there is training required to be able to be successful with Zight which makes for quick implementation.
- Clearer communication faster support response.
- internal communication is clear, less internal mistakes.
- Atlassian Loom and Snagit
Zight is more of an all-in-one visual communication tool — it supports screenshots, GIFs, and video recording, whereas Loom is primarily optimized for video messaging. When compared to Loom, Zight offers more robust video editing and lets you annotate while recording. Zight
AI is a major differentiator: Zight uses AI to generate video summaries, chapters, automatic transcriptions, titles, and even translates in 50+ languages. Loom has AI features too (summaries, filler-word removal), but Zight’s feel more powerful for documentation use. Snagit is not cloud native which makes it a bit harder to use. Zight uses links to easily share content with others.
