Overall Satisfaction with ZipRecruiter
At Tennessee State Parks, we have hospitality facilities such as restaurants, lodges and golf courses that employee in excess of 2000 full and part time employees on a year round basis. We are challenged with finding and retaining hospitality staff, traditionally known for high turnover, the same as private industry, with the additional challenge of our parks are in remote areas ! It goes without saying that most people would not got to a Government job site looking for a hospitality career position, so we lose out even more with qualified and interested applicants randomly viewing our website. ZipRecruiter has given me the ability to get the word out to a qualified viewing audience in the hospitality field. I can always count on quick responses, a better communication structure, and a more (so much more), user friendly atmosphere than other third party employment sites.
Pros
- TSP Restaurant Manager in Chapel Hill, TN currently on ZipRecruiter since yesterday (9/26) and already have an inbox filled with qualified applicants.
- ZipRecruiter has easy access to chat or email with admins if I encounter an issue, and it is quickly resolved, the only time I did have an issue, the response was pretty much immediate.
- ZipRecruiter is attractive to both the job poster and the job seeker. Easy to navigate.
Cons
- The only thing that I can mention is that I cannot use ZipRecruiter as frequently as the other "free" sites. While ZipRecruiter is superior to some of the others I use are the free ones. But I guess you get what you pay for.
- Definitely reduced the time locate, interview and to hire, if we are looking desperately for applicants, I will do the "boost" method, for a short span, being mindful of the expense of this added effort. I hate to admit this, but ZipRecruiter has bailed us out when we were not receiving any or the type interest we needed on the freebie sites for critical vacant positions we had at our lodges, restaurants and golf courses.
- More qualified applicants, for sure.
We have received the better qualified candidates in the hospitality industry applying for our vacant positions. Sometimes our salary scale has kept us from getting them on board, but not always the case.
It's free but not as effective for the higher salaried hospitality positions that require experience and skills.
