Zoom is used as the main communication platform for online meetings in our department.

For what we use it for, Zoom satisfies our needs. Sometimes we have issues sharing recordings or recording privileges. Once I saw the other questions in this survey (shortly prior to this one) I began to think of other capacities it might have but I am unfamiliar with. It is possible that Zoom has more to offer, especially in terms of ways to engage active participation, that we are not aware of.

Alternatives Considered

Skype

Zoom is so much better than Skype. No need to create a new account, easy to screen share, and offers break-out groups. In addition, Skype is blocked in some countries.

Likelihood to Recommend

Zoom is suited well in any situation where you need to see people or work on documents together while meeting. If you are only using it to connect via phone or you need to see many screens at once, it might not be ideal.
