Overall Satisfaction with Zoom Workplace
Our company has locations all over America, and some over-seas outsourcing. We use Zoom for all of our meetings, from smaller team meetings, to our company-wide Town Hall meetings. The recording feature is key for a lot of the larger meetings, allowing people who were unable to attend to view the meeting. The chat function is great for non-speaker participants to post questions, or for organizers to share relevant links.
Pros
- Chat feature, great for participant questions or informational links
- Recording meetings for later consumption
- Email client integrations for ease of scheduling meetings
Cons
- a Hand Raise feature like what is in Teams would take this to the next level
- The option to have more than 5 video feeds for non-speaking or muted participants without scrolling would be nice, so you can see all participants if the meeting is, say, only 10 people.
- Improved collaboration
Zoom has better video and quality than Teams, and the workspace interface is easier for standard users. However, Teams comes with benefits directly related to the Office 365 and Azure AD platforms, such as discounted pricing for multiplatform use, and integration with SharePoint for easier recording and file sharing during meetings, that is already built in to your existing Microsoft Cloud infrastructure without a huge amount of additional configuration. Microsoft should merge with Zoom, or allow Zoom Workspace to integrate directly with the Microsoft Cloud architecture.
