Overall Satisfaction with Zoom Workplace

We utilize Zoom across all departments from sales, public relations, ownership, retail, marketing, finance, and human resources. Zoom allows our team to conduct meetings from various locations while providing an easy to use platform with minimal training. The license incentives and admin platform for business feed into the overall easy user interface.

Pros

  • Video calls for small to large groups.
  • Easily collaborate and share information from individual machines.
  • Consistent connectivity and video/audio quality

Cons

  • Minimizing update timing or requirements to open a meeting.
  • Disabling Apple video gestures as a default.
  • Allowing the ability for others to share screens with an approval prompt vs. opening the share screen settings.
  • Zoom has allowed our business to become more efficient with our meeting cadence.
  • Time is money and being more efficient with meeting times has improved drastically.
  • Shared screen features allow staff to all get on the same page without the need for overprinting materials.
Our overall business preference is Zoom over Teams. The user interface and efficiency and reliability of the product is significantly better. Smaller businesses do not typically have a Teams license or utilize the platform where Zoom is more widely accepted and utilized making coordinating meetings significantly easier. Teams has their own technological issues and downsides with the user experience.

Yes

Well suited for scenarios where your staff and team are not able to meet in person for a centralized meeting. Requires planning ahead for everyone to be aware the meeting is virtual and not in person. Works well for conducting staff training and orientation.

Not ideal for urgent matters or last minute impromptu meetings or announcements.
