Use Cases and Deployment Scope

ZoomInfo is used across my entire organization. We primarily use it to find contact info of potential partners to work with, both looking for direct phone numbers as well as direct emails. We use both the Zoominfo platform, as well as the LinkedIn chrome extension 'reach' which allows for an even easier usage.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Great Google chrome extension that eliminates the need for logging into the site each time.
Strong database that has fairly accurate results.

Cons

The site's UI isn't the best.
Even though it's the nature of databases to be regularly wrong, it can be quite frustrating when the data isn't swept and cleaned, which does happen at least 30% of the time.
They often have outdated data.

Return on Investment

It has led to much faster identification of contact info, which in turn speeds up our entire process.
ZoomInfo has allowed us to crosscheck emails with people's LinkedIns.

Alternatives Considered

They have by far and away the largest breadth of professional contact data, as compared to other sites like Spokeo. The quality can be hit or miss, as with any database, but for the most part it's fairly decent. Their platform and chrome extension are great and make the ease of use much better.

Likelihood to Recommend

Very applicable for searching for any contact info of potential customers or partners. Also applicable for cross-checking data to people's recent positions. It is less appropriate for finding personal contact details, as the data is scraped primarily from office and work sites, and not from personal sites. It is also helpful to find a business address, for any direct mail applications.
