Use Cases and Deployment Scope

ZoomInfo is used by the BDR team in the sales department. It allows us to obtain direct contact info that would otherwise be hard to get. With ZoomInfo, we don't have to deal with gatekeepers and can contact our prospect directly. ZoomInfo also provides a contact's LinkedIn. With a LinkedIn account, we can verify that the prospect still works at the company.

Alternatives Considered

I have used Lead Ferret in the past to source leads. Lead Ferret is free, hence the reason I used it at previous workplaces. But it doesn't even come close to ZoomInfo. Although ZoomInfo costs money, it is worth it. ZoomInfo's data is way better than Lead Ferret.

ZoomInfo is perfect for New Business Development teams. This tool is helpful to find direct contact information and cut out the gatekeeper. ZoomInfo helps our team save time by cutting out the gatekeeper. ZoomInfo is also helpful for Account Executives who are trying to break into new accounts.

ZoomInfo is less appropriate for an inside/inbound sales team that rely on inbound calls for a majority of their business.
