Catchpoint as a product provides comprehensive tools to help orchestrate real-world synthetic monitoring capabilities. Coding & payload development language easy to use and manage. The user management features could use some additional features to help make managing user & access easier to manage. The product does offer useful UI features for API integrations to external services for reporting purposes.

I was already using Amazon Cloud watch for infrastructure monitoring and New Relic for APM and Browser, but when it [came] to synthetic monitoring, Catchpoint provides us with much better features. Also, regarding browser monitoring, Catchpoint provides us with [many] more metrics that help with better monitoring and alerting.

Catchpoint is the trusted solution for monitoring our application. It provides an intuitive UI create monitoring screens for all of our rest endpoints and web UI. The email alerts send out by Catchpoint are so detailed and visually clear. We were able to figure out the time of outage and for how long the application was failing directly from the webpage

Catchpoint offers a complete platform. You get different options of synthetic monitoring in one place, kinda what we were going after. Web Transaction, Network Tests, Mobile Tests, HTML Code, API Tests, DNS Tests, SMTP Tests, IMAP, BGP, etc. The list goes on and on. This allowed us to have one place for everything instead of having 2-3 different platforms.

Catchpoint meets the needs of their business better than Azure Monitor. We also got the free trial version which we didn't get in Azure network protector hence it helped us try and use the Catchpoint system and help us decide to ahead with the Catchpoint solution. Catchpoint is more suited for like our Enterprise level application since it has excellent top of the class cloud monitoring tools compared to other vendors I mentioned above

For the RUM, there is no comparison. Blue Triangle and MPulse are much better than Catchpoint. Regarding the synthetic part, Catchpoint is better than Blue Triangle for the number of nodes available, Blue Triangle has the advantage to allow the aggregation of the data (I run a test for 1 week, and I am able to see immediately the time average for each resource loaded in the test). Blue Triangle has also specific views for a competitive scenario where you can compare your test with the data of your customer.

Catchpoint has many more testing nodes around the world at all levels of the internet. Their analysis of the test results is much more extensive and provides value to the operations staff supporting the site all the way to the developer who will want the specific detailed results. QA teams will also appreciate the analytics available.

We currently use all of the mentioned tools, but for different purposes. The Catchpoint tool is used for monitoring our website availability and keeping an eye on uptime. The other tools are used for other reasons and in some cases work as an augmentation of the information we get from Catchpoint.

No other systems were used besides Catchpoint for this purpose. To date, we have been extremely satisfied with the level of service we receive from Catchpoint and have not seen a reason to look elsewhere. Catchpoint does everything we require, plus more. We are very happy with how it works and do not see a need to change.

The answer is very straightforward. There are many things, like pricing, ease-of-use, features, setup, etc., [that] brought us to select Catchpoint over other competitors. The main stand-out feature is real-time monitoring with very good metrics visibility. Catchpoint may be considered weak in some areas but that doesn't [factor] much in our use case.

Catchpoint was evaluated for its ease of build-and-go capabilities. The ability to segment based on [the] product and maintain secure monitoring were some of the initial take-ups.

Primary reason we went with Catchpoint is that they offered us actual backbone testing locations. All the other features like a filmstrip and traceroutes have been very beneficial as well and were not available in the competitors' solutions.
