From our experience, Absorb LMS is very well suited for internal teams to boost employee development through personalized learning paths and learning outcomes. It has been very seamless to track completions and monitor learner progress for us, which is one of the main benefits. Although challenges may arise with multiple groups managing one system, it is working out well for our organization with multiple departments under one system
The Create Course function is extremely good. I can use it easily as someone who has never built a learning module before, and this was very important to avoid having to outsource the creation of a very niche course type.
The implementation support and training was fantastic, very personable and relevant to where I was at the time, we covered everything I needed to know to successfully create our curriculum and publish this for our customers
The customisation on the learner pages is great - the fact that if you implement departments, you can use bespoke layouts and designs for different people means we can fully customise to our customers' needs
The reports function, being able to set up custom reports to be sent automatically reduces the amount of time we would have to spend monitoring things manually, and can give our customers an overview of their staffs' training progress
Reporting needs some additional help, especially the Course Activity Report. It would be great to see the description of the course on the header of the report.
The courses on the smart devices look wonky and sometimes the videos don't show up, yet you can hear it.
The Absorb LMS phone application also needs a lot of work. It does not show all the tiles that are available in the browser version.
We love the ability to have a user-friendly system that integrates well with our different HR interfaces (we have 3 systems that feed data/employees into the system). It makes it easy to track course completions and report out on metrics enterprise-wide. In addition, the ability to provide consistent education to staff who are geographically dispersed is a huge incentive for us, and Absorb LMS does this seamlessly.
I use the system daily, and it's easy to navigate and get to where I need to be. While there are more clicks than I would like, the system is intuitive and I can always find what I need. After using the system for several months, I can complete all my tasks quickly and support users when needed
Absorb LMS's performance is very reliable and consistent. Pages load quickly. Report are generated within a reasonable amount of time (even with significant amounts of data), etc. Nothing seems to slow it down.
Absorb LMS's client service managers have been extremely responsive, efficient, and available. While we pay for a higher level of support, we have found it well worth the investment. We've been less pleased with the accounting side of the organization, but that has little impact on the delivery of training to our clients and employees.
The implementation of Absorb went very seamlessly. We previously had the Oracle LMS and importing user data and getting the new system up to speed was painless. The smooth transition helped leaders and staff gain confidence early in the application/company and we have had a successful partnership with Absorb since.
hands down favorite in look, function, cost and service. Others were close but could not meet our external and internal cases. Our current one (we looked at them again) did not have 40% of the functionality or value, despite the bargain cost, it was not worth it to continue. Only new hires used our LMS for onboarding because they had to; no one went back for more training. With Absorb our classes are more dynamic and targeted.
This is one of the main reasons we chose Absorb as our LMS. It is a very user-friendly application that is able to be deployed across multiple departments in geographically dispersed locations. It works amazingly well for us.
I believe this question speaks to additional professional service hours that we had built into our contract to work with a set of staff members for purposes of changes or enhancements to our specific instance of Absorb. Again, I have nothing but positive things to say regarding our dealings with people at all levels of the organization. The PMs, the technical experts, the help desk staff are all friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and efficient
