Axonify
Chose Axonify
I like the way Axonify provides chunks of information to the learner by overwhelming them by dividing them into bite-size content. The learners don't have a lot of time to give to training, so Axonify has helped has provided just in time training to those teams. It's very much …
Chose Axonify
Each of the above has its use and I selected Axonify as it's a unique tool that is in its own segment. It meets the needs that other tools, LMS, or learning libraries do not.
Chose Axonify
Much more affordable and easily deployable. Great end-user experience using Axonify.
Chose Axonify
There are so many training platforms and increasing numbers of non LMS training platforms that it can be very difficult to figure out what is best for you. It's been a while since I did all the research that led me to Axonify, but below is a short summary of the pros and cons …

Chose SilkRoad Onboarding
We have previewed several onboarding platforms, but none has come close to the quality and flexibility of SilkRoad Onboarding (RedCarpet). Prehire task management allows each department to do what they do best to prepare for the new hire's first day. Keys, computer access, and …
Chose SilkRoad Onboarding
SilkRoad Onboarding knocks the ADP onboarding tools out of the park.
Chose SilkRoad Onboarding
RedCarpet had a seamless integration with our ATS and provided a great candidate experience.
Chose SilkRoad Onboarding
RedCarpet is the first electronic onboarding system I have used. We did get proposals from other companies, but RedCarpet is working very well for us and has achieved the streamlining of onboarding that we hoped it would.
Chose SilkRoad Onboarding
Redcarpet worked well when we first got it. We outgrew it and therefore moved on. I would say that if I could do it all over again - I would have set up the onboarding differently and then we would never have had to change. Cost was also an issue.
Chose SilkRoad Onboarding
I had only ever seen one other on-boarding tool before and this one had much better capabilities and a better Candidate Portal.
Chose SilkRoad Onboarding
RedCarpet is totally a better system to use then some of the other applicant tracking system that we currently use. It is more user friendly. The other system requires for the applicant to have certain browsers and operating systems to be able to begin their new hire paperwork. …
Chose SilkRoad Onboarding
We originally selected SilkRoad's OpenHire applicant tracking system and purchased their RedCarpet onboarding system as a package. Though we evaluated other ATS products, no other onboarding products were analyzed.
Chose SilkRoad Onboarding
I have used People Services which is managed by the HRIS team. I do not know anything about how the back end works, but it seems to me more of a smoother process because it integrates with our other HR systems.

Well-suited to the original purpose of delivering questions on a daily basis; everything beyond that gets complicated. For example, there are a number of program types available to deliver information (certifications, daily reinforcement, self-directed learning, assigned paths, etc.). However understanding how they all fit together requires advancing weaving together of multiple types of programs for individual groups, and requires more time than you would expect. Nearly 3 years into working with Axonify, we are still trying to iron it all out. We also have side groups of customers who meet to help each other because we all struggle with it too. We have a hard time helping our leaders and subject matter experts understand what is possible and what doesn't work well in the platform, since it is so different and doesn't work as expected. For example, communication to teams is one way - the recipients can't respond.

I like the idea of RedCarpet. If it was fully functional for us, I really think it would be a great tool to use. However, the lack of response and the response time itself in tech support is definitely a downfall for our company

Cons
  • Subjects and categories organization system can get a little confusing.
  • While there is support for mobile phones, there's not an easy way to test it on mobile devices without deploying it first.
  • Lots of options so it can get complex if you just need a straightforward solution.

  • Maybe in the state tax forms when working and living in a different state, some auto populate fields when onboarding New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
  • Adding a task can be tricky as well. It is hard to locate the proper task you are looking for in the list. The list needs to be more user friendly.

Usability
Axonify is extremely easy to use, for both employees and managers. The platform is visually appealing, and Axonify offers a number of videos and tutorials for any administration and user functionality. The reporting is also very easy to obtain and review, with the ability to drill down to team and individual results.

It takes a lot of training and reading up on the processes in order to use it, but once you've had a lot of trial and error, you figure out the system quickly. Once you put together a user guide specific for your company's use of the product, it's easier for new employees to use RedCarpet and understand the different functions within it.

Support Rating
Axonify has been great for support. We have a dedicated rep but I have also just posted to the official user boards and gotten feedback as well. Axonify also has a conference every year that is a great way to learn. You can also become certified in Content or Administration with Axonify if you so choose.

Support is adequate. They are about the same, and the expected turn around time is acceptable in the industry standard. We have no complaints with customer support. The tracking system is good and allows for updates to issues, so there are generally no questions where the case may sit with engineering or application support.

SilkRoad's training/demo video was viewed well prior to beginning implementation. HR Team did not remember details and the video was not sufficient enough to understand all of the features within the system in order to communicate needs to the vendor/implementation expert. Implementation should have been walked through, step by step, by the vendor and each section of their required spreadsheet and the development of the portal should have been explained in depth.

There are so many training platforms and increasing numbers of non LMS training platforms that it can be very difficult to figure out what is best for you. It's been a while since I did all the research that led me to Axonify, but below is a short summary of the pros and cons of the platforms I looked at and how I decided to implement Axonify.
  • Compligo- This platform was recommended by the Director of Legal and Regulatory when I first joined my current company. Its main feature is that they provide training on legal and regulatory topics (this is very important to my organization) however, it is a very old school platform, the training tended to be very long, and there was no element of reinforcement. It felt more like "check the box" training than education our workforce, so I opted to continue looking
  • Docebo- This was my second choice. Docebo is extremely similar to Axonify in the learning philosophy but ultimately I chose Axonify. I won't give my exact reasoning because I'm sure both platforms have made considerable updates since I did my research and I don't want to cause confusion by posting out of date information
  • Inkling- Inkling is a very cool platform, but not quite as robust as I knew I would need, although I'm sure they have added functionality since I last tested the platform
now I am out of space, so I'll leave it at that.

Return on Investment
  • Before, we could not accurately measure if people were really reviewing our monthly safety material or really reading our new policy releases. Now we have nearly 100% compliance.
  • Over the past two years since we implemented Axonify, we have seen a decrease of $200,000 in our workers comp annual cost. We expect this trend to continue or stay stable due to a staff that is more aware of safety.
  • We maintain our position as a San Francisco and Silicon Valley Best Place to Work due to our high morale and employee engagement level. 99% of our employees engage with Axonify an average of 13x per month. This ranking has made us an leader in affordable housing with some of the best staff members in our industry.

  • Positive impact to ROI, we don't have hard numbers for overall but just in time spent on chasing paperwork I would say we save a minimum of 20 minutes per new hire and we hire 600+ people/year.
  • We save an unknown amount on properly completed I9 forms since the system doesn't let you make errors that were always common on paper forms.
