Beebole vs. Unanet ERP GovCon

Beebole is well suited for complex organizations that have detailed teams, projects, labor categories, etc. However, for smaller organizations, the functionality and complexity can make it a bit cumbersome / not as user friendly.

Unanet is a great system and has really helped our managers gain more insight to their projects. We have faster timesheet completion rates which leads to faster billing. We have been very happy with the system but there are some trial and error scenarios where it takes us some time to actually get the data needed or use the system the way we need it to be utilized. Thankfully they do have a great support staff that assists with issues as they arise.

• It allows me to charge different rates for different tasks
• As a non-tech 65 year old I find the software easy top navigate and use with information provided in a format that suits me. I can set up different matters for the same Client. This is very useful given the nature of my work which ranges from simple compliance - preparing and submitting Returns to the tax authorities - to undertaking complex and lengthy planning execises - business sale, Inheritance Tax and succession planning etc.
• Beebole allows me to generate PDF copies of my timesheets that I email to Clients when I issue them a fee note
• I can check Work In Progress quickly and easily on a Client by Client and Matter by Matter basis

• The time keeping component works well. It gives a level of confidentiality we did not have in our previous home grown system.
• We are able to set up projects based on a number of criteria, allowing us to differentiate for reporting purposes.
• We can easily import billing information into our Financial system from Unanet, when previously we would manually enter this information.

• Some lack of administration options for user accesses
• Single Standard cost alternative, for example, it would be nice to have at least two alternative at the same time (with overheads and not!)

• Would like to be able to search for users by first name as well as last name.
• Would like to be able to modify save and share some of the canned reports.

More detailed / layered options for complex organizations and teams, but Beebole's user interface is not as modern and much more cumbersome / higher learning curve

We were used to Deltek's Costpoint from the prior company and Unanet is far easier to use for users, accounting personnel, project managers, and corporate managers. Continuous enhancements lead us to believe that Unanet will be even better in meeting our needs.

• Beebole tracking keeps track of hours that may get missed and not billed
• Beebole is a great way to have a clear accounting to include with client billing - it never has been questioned by a client
• The comprehensive features that still are easy to use mean that is gets consistently used.

• Increased employee efficiency - less back end work for incorrect submissions.
• Better results with profit analysis of profits on an ongoing basis.
