Likelihood to Recommend Beekeeper is one of those gems which can not get replaced by any other application that easily as it comes in everyday use. Being an SDE I can say that it get used a lot in creating, updating or deleting any data also sharing files is really fast among users. It is suitable if you have a vivid project and need to store huge database and contacts and interaction is daily requirement . It takes sometime to get load but that does not make it any less suitable.
Read full review Miro is great for both collaborative use cases and personal information bases. I really appreciate being able to work asynch with my team and have them utilize something like a voice track to explain their thought process or use case for the content they add to a board-- it also helps cut down on the time needed to communicate changes that different team members desire. It's amazing to be able to integrate other tools such as documentation on
Confluence or have Jira tickets directly linked in product roadmaps or process flows. We use Miro for everything from showing the intersections between different teams and their responsibilities to complex quarterly planning and UX research involving 5+ departments. However, it's less appropriate if you need to use a complex variety of shapes or want to adjust design elements in a detailed way. For example, the rounded square could really benefit from being able to change the degree of roundness in the corners, but sadly it's not an option
Read full review Pros Beekeeper is ultimately the most viable option for managing tasks and getting a solid result from projects. It has very extraordinary support; I can solve configuration issues. It gives us significant advantages in communication and collaboration within the organization. It is extraordinary to complement a system of coordination and systematization of priorities in any environment. Read full review Miro shares and tracks changes among my students extremely well. It's awesome to be able to "bring everyone to me" while teaching. With this feature, I can make changes on my laptop while teaching, and my interactive whiteboard in front of the class will follow my changes in real-time. I like being able to see where on the board each of my students is working or reading to see where their attention is focused. Read full review Cons It takes a few seconds to a minute to get load with all the tables and database. Its UI could be a bit better and it has room for improvement. Sometimes it lags that could be resolved as well. Read full review Often, too often, the dictionary window pops up when I am trying to move or interact with content. (frequent low level frustration) The limit on text character content seems artificial and is frequently problematic. I can see limiting image and file sizes for memory space conservation but text limits seem arbitrary and way to low. I wish text and table content were more easily copy/pasted (or imported/exported) into other programs without funky spacing and bullet issues. Since Miro is so central to workflow on many parts of a project there is lots of back and forth of content and having better seamlessness wound be great. We do most everything manually and rarely use any templates or AI clustering and themes, etc. The few times ive tried it had mixed results so ... I'm sure that tech is improving often. Read full review Likelihood to Renew There is no other tool like Miro for process Mapping in particular. I've tried PowerPoint, Word, and other programs, but when collaborating virtually on how to improve a process, Miro has all of the tools and more to enable successful mapping. The colors, different types of shapes and text books, along with the ability to integrate different documents and other functionality, make it ideal for this purpose. In a virtual world, it's a must-have.
Read full review Usability It's pretty easy to use. My gripes are with some small idiosyncrasies with selection behavior with objects and editing text. When I move an object, it automatically de-selects it when I am not done with it. I have to click to select again. Text control is challenging and could be improved. It could use a little more styling capability. It's also weird that it behaves differently in a shape then when using the text tool.
Read full review Reliability and Availability I only give a 9/10 because of the speed at which it loads. I have never experienced issues with Miro logging me out early, or some other technical issue causing the program to crash, or even it just loading in perpetuity without ever actually coming up (unlike other programs such as SFDC). It take a minute for all of my boards to come up after I click on it in my favorites, but besides that, it's all good.
Read full review Performance I took the loading quickly to be related to availability which I commented on before, so ditto with those comment on load time here. Although to reemphasize, Miro doesn't crash or just refuse to load like some other programs. The weak point of Miro for me is integration of files like Word, Excel, or PowerPoint (especially the later two). When you embed these, it gets slow, and complicated to bring them up while you're in the application.
Read full review Support Rating The support staff at Miro are fantastic. Whenever I have had an issue, they have been timely and helpful with their response. They are also very knowledgeable and go out of their way to not only help, but offer proactive training sessions on different topics and new functionality so everyone can try it out.
Read full review Online Training There was a series of webinars which Miro hosted with our organization that went over the basics, then progressively became more advanced with additional sections. The instructors were knowledgeable, and provided examples throughout the sessions, as well as answered peoples' questions. There was ample time and experience on the calls to cover a range of topics. The instructors were also very friendly and sociable, as well as honest. Of course Miro isn't a "God-tool" that does absolutely everything, but the instructors were aware and emphasized the strengths where Miro had them and sincerely accepted feedback.
Read full review Implementation Rating From an enterprise behind the scenes perspective, our implementation was fairly smooth. We have identified some pain points based on Miro's use of emails for user IDs as people's emails may change (marriage, divorce, etc.) and when we update that on our end, it doesn't track through to Miro's SSO and license assignment. From the perspective of user adoption, I would have loved to see more people jump on board right away, but our staff needed to see benefits on projects and that is growing so our adoptions rate is as well.
Read full review Alternatives Considered Beekeeper has been able to bring us considerable advantages in terms of communication and collaboration within our organization. It is a fantastic tool that allows us to communicate with colleagues.
Read full review I have not encountered anything like Miro. I wouldn't want to use anything but Miro. I used Mind Map once and it was static, and formulaic. Mind map was too restrictive for me to want to use. It did not allow me to be creative like Miro. I chose Miro because it was intuitive, it augmented my physical whiteboard, and I realized I didn't have to photograph my physical white board to capture and present content.
Read full review Scalability Miro is great for scaling. In every department and subdivision across my entire organization, there is someone using it. From Sales to marketing, to manufacturing and operations; and even in legal and finance, there isn't a process or a department that is not using Miro, and if they aren't, they're missing out! Even at the highest to the lowest levels of the organization, it is essential for virtual collaboration.
