Users are all employees within an organization that use the connected SaaS applications.
BetterCloud exists as a unique product that doesn't directly compete with many other products or companies. It does handle user management, policy management, security and compliance, and more but other products don't tie things together the same way that Bettercloud does. It …
Compared to WiseStamp - BetterCloud is much more advanced for the purpose of creating, managing, applying, and updating signatures for users of a Google domain. Signatures can be applied by User, Group, or ORG, and policies can be created to reapply signatures according to a …
Cisco CloudLock has an automatic approach to matters safety, analysis, and monitoring. Further, Cisco CloudLock has supported encryption, making it standard and simpler. Again, Cisco CloudLock [ensures] that credible details and documents such as credit card numbers are fully …
BetterCloud is well suited for small to medium sized companies where a small technology support team can exponentially improve their capacity thru the available automation. When a company's data set starts to grow larger than 50-60 million objects and ~30k+ users there is still a good return on the investment but the population that BetterCloud has catered to for so long does not seem to be plentiful and shared experiences and community are just not there. Where a company that size might have a handful of technically capable team members that push for functionality that doesn't seem niche, there isn't much of a crowd to bounce those large scale ideas off of.
Cisco Cloudlock is a good fit for my organization consisting of 150 end users. While we have a small office product that can expand to cover any size organization, I would assume the overhead to monitor would increase. While my organization's business is in real estate, I would highly recommend this for all businesses that handle sensitive and private data. Being able to monitor our cloud infrastructure has allowed our security team to be more flexible in allowing approved users access as well.
The Netskope CASB solution is well-suited for any company due to the proliferation of SaaS applications. With the agent being installed on endpoints, the product is well suited for remote work environments where a managed corporate network may not be available. The agent allows visibility and controls to be applied to any networks the devices connect to.
Allows us to quickly audit and assign delegates to email account, something that's completely missing in Google as an administrative function
Allows us to automate offboarding of a Google account
Allows us to perform bulk actions, like assigning email signatures and forwarding to hundreds of accounts at a time
Allows us to audit Google Drive files. Orphaned files are very common in Google Workspace, and BetterCloud allows us to find them and take ownership of them.
Really easy to use for administrators and for end users, as all is unified in one single agent. Management and deployment is also very easy to do, so overall it is a user and administrator friendly product.
Support for BetterCloud is excellent. They have fantastic email support who are very responsive and knowledgeable, but more importantly they have chat support that are absolutely top-notch. They have not only the knowledge to answer and help, but the capability to solve without escalations or runarounds. These support folks are the real deal.
They are very quick to respond and go the extra mile to help address our issues. That said, we've only needed them at the early stages of implementation for support help and occasionally when we want to do a full re-scan of our site. They are very flexible in working with us on the timing of such scans.
There have been some struggles with their infrastructure keeping pace with demand and load. Support can only do so much and has to defer to known problems being escalated.
BetterCloud has a much more friendly UI when it comes to building workflows as I've mentioned before. Our team has visited Okta workflows a number of times but it was incredibly difficult to replicate our current BetterCloud workflows into Okta because the Okta UI for workflow building is hard to follow and create
Amazon Macie is limited to an AWS environment and fulfills some of the same functions that CloudLock does in SaaS products. Both are very valuable tools, so the decision is not really which to use, but whether to use both for their respective environments. In general I feel CloudLock is a more powerful tool because it connects to Microsoft 365, which is more business critical for our organization, but that really is a personal call.
We felt that Netskope provided a more holistic view in the CASB space from a user and usage perspective. In addition, the cost structure for Menlo was a bit higher and was a bit more complicated in the installation and maintenance perspectives
