Infor CloudSuite ERP is the company's cloud-based ERP suite for medium to large global manufacturers, distributors, and after-sales service providers—delivering flexibility to manage mixed-mode and complex value chains.
Blue Cherry is competitively priced to compete with other solutions. It is well suited where a good training system is in place in the business and where at least a small IT team is present. I also would recommend on-prem installations as opposed to cloud-based as I have heard negative feedback about the cloud-based product. Blue Cherry may be more appropriate for companies that either are still developing their processes and can be tweaked to fit within the Blue Cherry ecosystem, or in larger companies where they can afford potentially substantial costs to customize Blue Cherry to their needs or desires.
it seems to be able to handle multiple locations well. It has a good vpn connection. It makes working at home easy. The problem is it is still run on a dos system. They are removing it slowly, but not all aspects of DDMSPLUS are easy. In my experience, it is hard to get any types of reporting out of that system. For us, AP and payroll are impossible.
We have had great success with inventory management and production planning/execution. Also, data and system integrity have been key to our overall solution satisfaction. We struggle when it comes to reporting and analytics. The base product leaves room for improvement as much of the core reporting is not easily configurable and lacks the ability to scale forcing us to build a reporting model outside the solution
Very stable product. Some of its weaknesses are also its strengths. The lack of web services seems to actually increase stability.
No software vendor in this space is perfect. Lawson does perform as advertised.
Again, a weakness of this (limited functionality) is a hidden strength as well. In software there is a complexity/feature tradeoff. Where Lawson lacks in features, it does give you a more simple setup for your organization.
Blue Cherry being so robust can be quite a bit to manage and really requires good training of users.
Documentation is not the best due to the various possible configurations you can do with this system. It is difficult to document for all use cases.
Consistency throughout the product as far as language used in different screens referring to the same item, but language can be customized so it can generally be made to match as needed.
I think some really complete documentation on a few common use cases could be developed to help train users with properly formatted training sessions.
Blue Cherry Add-Ons generally feel like they have not been well tested before being released and sold to their customers. We had issue (some major where we stopped using them) with pretty much every single add-on we have purchased, from B2b eComm, Shopify connector, CSC (Collaborative Supply Chain), NuOrder connector as some major examples.
The main problem with it is the support provided and the support available on the market. Both are limited. Plus, it is a nightmare from a connectivity point of view, which is obvious, since the off-the-shelf tools usually include built-in connectors to Oracle and SAP, specifically S-4Hana. Retrieving data is also not easy, and specifically, to get behind the logic of special reports without direct StreamServe knowledge, which is the rarest of all, is almost impossible
Industry fit: Infor M3 is designed for specific industries, such as manufacturing, distribution, and food and beverage. If your organization operates in one of these industries, Infor M3 may be a good fit.Functionality: Consider the specific features and functionality that your organization requires from an ERP system, such as financial management, supply chain management, manufacturing, and sales and marketing. Review Infor M3's capabilities in these areas to determine if it meets your needs.
I give this rating because CGS has a 'by design' policy meaning that if the product has been functioning a specific way for some time....even if that functionality is buggy or simply incorrect...they will call that 'by design' meaning you need to have a MOD (modification) done which means you need to pay for it. They generally seem to start between $5,000 to $15,000 USD even for a simple change like the length of a field that does not match from one screen to another, or adding a simple column to a table which contains a calculated value meaning it does not need to be stored in the database.
There are a few people that are perfect ratings, but if you dont get one of them it is a little difficult to move forwards. [...], [...], [...], [...], [...]. If you talk to one of them your problems will be solved very quickly. The other support agents im not as familiar with but, in my opinion, some are good
The overall support of Inform M3 is simply the best! There isn't a single flaw that I can detect or think of about this software! I can't possibly express the greatness of the availability and all of the possibilities achieved. The ease of use and a lot of functionalities such as flexibility [allows in] configuration to add new functionalities fast.
One of the products I have used is an Oracle accounting product. I feel that Infor stands up well when comparing to the Oracle product especially for the accounting functions. In comparing it to Microsoft Dynamics I feel that Infor is easier to use in some accounting tasks. The one thing the Dynamics has going for it is the ease of use with other Microsoft Products.
Blue Cherry has been part of helping our company to grow 600%+ over the last 10 years and is able to handle the ever-increasing slope of that upward scaling growth we continue to see.
Blue Cherry PLM has really helped the design team to work much better with the ERP as it is integrated.
Reporting and inquiries have been very important to many teams, in particular, the planning & support team to really manage large wholesale customers well.
