I think it's because of the cost.
Chose Bonusly
I evaluated Donut points, but I felt like they were still in the process of creating features that Bonusly already has.
Chose Bonusly
the cost was [the] main factor for us. I think the platforms are very similar. Bonusly is one focused on just employee recognition which is great and concise. Blueboard offers a lot more by way of experiences and gift-giving for recognition but on the pricier side.
Chose Bonusly
I haven’t found any other platform that I would consider in a similar product to Bonusly. When we got involved with the platform, it was the only one of it’s type and we’ve been blown away with it since then.
Chose Bonusly
Bonusly builds a recognition-rich culture like no other reward and recognition software by empowering everyone to recognize their peers, direct reports, and managers. With nifty features and a simple interface, Bonusly is fun and intuitive to use and employees tend to adopt …

The "big name" to me has always been CrewHu. Not sure why they aren't in the listing at the time of this writing but they are far and away the big name from my perspective. This is the main other tool we've seriously considered and I think it highlights the opposite points I've …

Generally, Kudos is super user friendly and anyone can use it even with little or no knowledge of computers. The user interface is fun, interesting with lots of emojis that can be customized to a user's emotions at a time. The redeeming of kudos and the various gifts and reward …
Chose Kudos®
We decided to change the service because the one we had previously did not have some functionalities such as an activity panel or the creation of surveys and polls and that is why we preferred to make a change and chose "Kudos" as the best alternative.
Chose Kudos®
The main reason why the IT team of our company decided to make a software change. It is because Kudos has the necessary tools to more comprehensively evaluate the performance of each employee.
Chose Kudos®
I haven't used any other peer recognition software!

I've used Taste Card as a comparable product, but it is not at the enterprise level Kudos is in. Kudos is far more flexible at small and large scales, and quite versatile within teams. It's a good benefit for employees and a great tool for leadership that can be easily deployed …
Chose Kudos®
We have not evaluated other platforms in so long. We are fond of Kudos and everything it does for our team and is not looking to change any time soon.
Chose Kudos®
We used Recognize prior to making the switch to Kudos and was largely due to the cumbersome use of the platform, the difficulty getting to look just like we wanted to, and just did not offer the options that Kudos does to customize everything. The app is great too and makes it …

It is the best reward and recognition program I have come across so far as a team member and leader who is focused on successful completion of projects and being goal oriented. It gives one a chance to publicly reward a team/member. Such motivation spurs healthy competition and …

I've only used Kudos in this regard. I haven't tried any similar software. It's the best way to get your colleagues excited and to show them how much they’re valued is to be generous with your kudos! Open the door to seeing more smiles around the office and get in on the fun. …

I used to work at a company called Sparc that developed its own in-house platform called Teamphoria. It was great software that coupled a lot of the same features as workday but also with a recognition system. Essentially it allocated certain types of recognition levels per …

Bonusly has provided us a formal space to post recognition. While face to face recognition still occurs, this is a place where staff can post publicly or privately, but a majority choose public. It has been incredibly popular since our implementation. Staff love the ability to earn time off through recognition. That customized redemption is our most popular reward.

It would be very appropriate to use some of its functionalities when an employee has finished his work and has reported it correctly. In this case, we proceed to rate and mark your work on the platform and then reward him.

Cons
  • There should be more option to redeem points like custom rewards.
  • Then, more digital gift cards are popular for that specific country. We have a global workforce and there are different countries involved.

Return on Investment
  • Employees are encouraged to "live the values" as other members see and recognize their achievements monetarily.
  • This spreads a load of recognition from just leadership/managers across the entire organization, potentially eliminating/reducing a recurring existing task your company is currently doing.
  • Features/freedom of posting in a 'social media' style environment encourages light-hearted comradery between employees.

  • It creates excitement and positive engagement within the staff creating a lively environment.
  • It's easy to track the highest receivers and at the end of the year, these receivers are sieved and awarded accordingly.
  • Some employees might abuse the system and reward just for the sake of rewarding to get points.
  • Reward redemptions are not instant which creates a little demotivation to shine on the spot all the time.
