Control-M has proven to be much more reliable and not prone to crashes like UC4 had. It’s also more versatile since we can build almost anything we may need with the application integrator.
Legacy systems often need to be replaced or integrated with new applications in order to modernize businesses. A strong API strategy that avoids custom coding and third-party programs is essential to enable this integration. Boomi's new-age connectivity and integration solutions ensure safe, secure, and robust integration. In the age of information, businesses are under more pressure than ever to be able to collect and manage large amounts of data. This data comes in from a variety of sources, including personalized devices such as voice assistants and wearable tech. While this data can be immensely valuable to businesses, they often lack the infrastructure necessary to handle it effectively. Anytime you have a process that has to do multiple things, transfer data, interact with other systems, Control-M is critical. Not only does it provide the insight to what is going on, but it also lets you keep tight audit controls over access, reduces the need to spend large amounts of time tracking down issues, reduces the need to write custom "code" to do integrations with other systems and helps you better manage and track critical SLAs for workflows across the business.
The good thing is that there are so many connectors available. Control-M provides lots of features, and we are using almost 60 to 70% of them. Control-M is providing us with so much capability to use during our daily problem-solving.
Most of the job creation is very simple and quick and worked as per expectations.
Testing and debugging are also very easy, and you can test multiple scenarios using temporary changes during job runs.
Log and output presentations are also very good, short and detailed.
To monitor specific job net, we can create viewpoint, which can be use on daily basis.
More from a development perspective. It is always difficult to use the properties features. It takes a while to understand how the data/variables can be used across an integration.
Dell Boomi should also invest more on API Management and not just seen as a ETL,ESB tool.
Should roll out features more often based on users reviews.
I haven't come across too many spots where I'm not happy with the product. Most of the shortfalls were in my knowledge of the product as opposed to the actual product. Currently we're having a little bit of an issue with the deployment of the software to the servers, but it's more of an "us" problem than a product problem. I can't really give any good examples of shortfalls of the product that I've found so far.
Dell Boomi has provided us with the ability to connect our campus together using our various existing platforms. There are many supported features and have yet to run into something that we cannot do. Its user interface is very intuitive which would allow users to begin developing fairly easily. There is a myriad of resources available
It is one of the best solutions on the market, in terms of innovation, reliability and stability. Control-M provides security when used by the largest companies in Mexico such as banks, department stores and logistics. It has proven to be able to integrate with new technologies on the market and provide almost 100% availability, thanks to its automatic FailOver scheme.
My IT and Finance teams have noted that setting up the tool is a breeze. Dell Boomi has never caused an issue during a system implementation that I am aware of. We are pleased with the tool and recommend others consider it.
User experience is meeting my expectations. We had a manual checklist, which Control-M Reports has now replaced, that helped us check the jobs without any issues. So, being fair with the work, the ratings should also be fair. More to come as the AI progresses; this will not only help motivate the Control-M Developers but also lead to the development of advanced technology.

Database Replication: For high availability, Control-M leverages database replication from the primary site to a disaster recovery site. The atom sphere takes a time to load, when I open a process or when I open a log. One more slow processing is when I import objects from NetSuite.
About the performance of processing, it looks like Boomi takes a time to initialize some things such as connectors before starting the process. This is also performance we have.

Boomi support was responsive and knowledgable, however being a closed cloud service, it doesn't have good community support. We found the learning curve to be steep and there aren't avenues like google, forums, or blogs that provide community driven insight into the product or how to go about designing solutions using the tool
Support is generally excellent. Getting lower priority ones resolved can take a while, but it's rare for something to have to be dumped in the "unfixable" bin. If you end up speaking to Houston or Tel Aviv, then you know you've got a "live one".

As HA we have depend on the external DB, why don't we have HA feasibility with embedded DB. As with external DB, there are performance issues and fine tuning the DB. As if its embedded DB, Control-M it self take care of the functionality.
We decided to go with Dell Boomi because another department in our company was already using the software. We did not research competitor applications to use as our business solution. Dell Boomi was very easy and quick to set up, so once we decided to use Dell Boomi for systems integration, we had it set up and running within a few working days.

It has allowed us to scale significantly without having to add headcount, specifically those geared towards data entry.
