Boomi is overall easier to manage that other SOA products we've used
Chose Boomi
Boomi is one of the best integration platforms out there, but it still has its niche. It is suitable for most integration scenarios especially those that doesn't require very high throughput. The runtime could be hosted on-prem and in the cloud or even in a hybrid mode, which …
Chose Boomi
Compared to rest of the solutions, Boomi is centered around solving this exact problem not in just the landscape of SAP but many other backends. this puts them in place of very experienced in term of integration in wide range of scenarios. they most probably have encountered …

MuleSoft and Boomi are built on totally different frameworks. Mulesoft is an API-led network whereas Boomi is an ETL middleware approach. In easy words, Mulesoft can connect to several apps and business units, can create and reuse multiple components. Boomi offers only …

We decided to go with Dell Boomi because another department in our company was already using the software. We did not research competitor applications to use as our business solution. Dell Boomi was very easy and quick to set up, so once we decided to use Dell Boomi for systems …

As I was new to Integration, I needed to explore new middleware like Dell Boomi [to compare to] the first middleware used by our organization. But [so far in my experience] I have been so excited to use this integration tool for automation. But this will be a different …

Recently I got few POC to work on Dell Boomi for saving cost as well as performance.
Chose Boomi
Mulesoft was evaluated by [and] definitely was not the right fit for the organization considering the type of integrations which were built in the enterprise historically. Dell Boomi on the other hand was more graphical and was more easy to use and is the best ipaas at the …
Chose Boomi
We evaluated Boomi with Mulesoft and Celigo. Boomi was recommended by Netsuite and it was the best all around solution that allowed for custom coding, but had drag/drop solution design. Mulesoft was much more technical and robust, but required a significant amount of coding …
Chose Boomi
I'm not aware of major competitors to Dell Boomi. Dell Boomi feels like the de-facto standard that my Finance and IT teams have used for several years. We are happy with it.
Chose Boomi
The Dell Boomi tool was chosen prior to my arrival but it is more robust than most EDI tools and works well as an overall middleware platform.
Chose Boomi
Specifically as an iPaaS solution, Boomi has a very good, easy to use, and fast to learn platform, which can be accessed from anywhere and any time.
Chose Boomi
Much more customization and a larger learning curve, but, overall, I would recommend Boomi over all others.
Chose Boomi
I did not select Boomi. It is the tool used in the company. In my previous work I worked with InfoSphere DataStage and QualityStage, and I can say that these tools are much more powerful when making transformations, alerts, connect to different sources. Boomi is good at …
Chose Boomi
  • Dell Boomi comes with a good user interface. That allows users to drag and drop shapes.
  • Dell Boomi is from Dell. That is a company we can trust more than others.
  • Dell Boomi can provide us ability for integration as our requirements.

We have used Oracle SOA since 2010 for our custom on-premise applications integration purposes. To some extent we were successful but overall we did not manage to integrate and build other than several business processes with it.

I would choose Boomi every day for real-time integrations. I really enjoy using it. I would struggle to recommend using it for a batch application unless you really had to. SSIS seems like it would be a better choice if doing batch jobs but the learning curve is much higher …
Chose Boomi
Dell Boomi is a low code cloud-based tool and it has a lot more inbuilt features compared with these tools.
Chose Boomi
We have evaluated Mulesoft as well before going with Dell Boomi. The only difference is the Complete Cloud architecture provided by Boomi and also the ease of using the software, where you don't need to install anything on a developer machine or testing machine or any quality …
Chose Boomi
Dell Boomi - no installation. Start immediate coding - it's the best thing which I like. Now all PaaS providers are doing same. Dell Boomi entered the game first.
Chose Boomi
Even though Azuqua may be a bit more user friendly, Boomi can handle many more situations. Azuqua couldn't handle the majority of the processes we wanted to perform.
Chose Boomi
I have used other integration tools as well (with 10 years of integration experience). Eventually, I liked Boomi for its simplicity and easy graphical representation, development, installation, versioning and deployment. Testing Boomi processes is another plus because it is …

Our team has used Actian DataConnect since the Mid 1990's. It was formerly known as Data Junction and then Pervasive Data Integrator. We looked at Boomi as an additional tool to aid in our Integrations. We did compare it to Informatica and thought it was a better fit for …

Zapier
Chose Zapier
No other solutions i experienced in our Automation workflow with current organization.
Chose Zapier
Power Automate is great if you live exclusively in the Microsoft Dataverse. However, we have lots of apps that aren't fully represented - that's where Zapier shines. It has such great reach to so many other apps. Zapier is my go-to automation solution.
Chose Zapier
Zapier is excellent when working with those tools because even though they have automation capabilities, they lack a lot of connection with different apps.
Chose Zapier
We selected Zapier because of its reputation. That was a mistake. There are many other platforms that do the same job for considerably less money.
Chose Zapier
I personally chose it for the wide variety of integrations it has. I can connect to any app I need to use. Also, they are always adding new ones. The ease of use is an important factor for me and its simple and fast interface. For the use that I give it, it seems to me that the …
Chose Zapier
Zapier is pretty much easier to use unlike other paid CRM tools available in the market. Its intuitive user interface and free trial make it easier to switch to it. Its free plan of 100 tasks per month also helps small businesses who can't afford to buy high-price tools.
Chose Zapier
In case of IFTTT at the very begining you could use any of them to solve the same problem but with the time IFTTT became more hardware automation and Zapier more software services automation so eventually I end up moving 100% to Zapier and I still think IFTTT has its own use …

We actually utilize both Integromat and Zapier at our company, for all the reasons detailed in this review. Though Zapier is excellent for simple client integrations, we often run into internal use cases that require complexity that Zapier cannot provide. Specifically working …

Similar--free and paid accounts, both suitable for small businesses and sole proprietors. Similar apps also allow you to set up workflows so when a specific action is taken, a followup action is then taken. Works wonderfully and really helps save time on a day-to-day basis. It …

Zapier fills in for some of the features that are missing from Google Forms. Using them both is the best option for us.
Chose Zapier
Zapier is the best option for users with no coding experience, it has a very simple and welcoming interface that leads you directly to your goal. Also, there are useful articles and forums that help you navigate through the system. Also, there is great customer service in case …
Chose Zapier
I’ve used the free version of Hootsuite. I think this program is a more robust program once you pay for its features. Zapier is still better as a free version. So if you are looking to round out your digital presence with little investment go with Zapier. If you’re trying to …
Chose Zapier
  • Zapier is a much more mature platform with much more software that you can integrate into and they add to their portfolio every month
  • Zapier has more functions for each software they connect
  • Zapier has their own services that are very useful
Chose Zapier
Zapier seemed better positioned to do what we need to do from a business perspective. I may be wrong but IFTTT seemed more personal/home use.
Chose Zapier
There is not really any other product out there that compares to Zapier. It is one of the best products for automation and it can be used with ease.
Chose Zapier
I am currently using Zapier and it became for us a must have tool that make us win a lot of time .
Chose Zapier
We started out very quickly with Zapier, and it worked very well for us an organization, and have simply scaled on that specific platform. While we have used and tested some others, we decided at the end to stay with Zapier due to the extent of adoption across the …
Chose Zapier
Zapier is by far the best of any services like that I've seen. I really do recommend it to every small business I know!
Chose Zapier
IFTTT is much more open and extensible but doesn't come with nearly the amount of pre-baked integrations and pre-built workflows that Zapier does. When we first used Zapier years ago, IFTTT was more of a hobbyist/tinkerer platform and not primarily aimed at the enterprise …

Dell Boomi is well-suited as a middleware to talk between systems. I am a personal fan of Dell's products and I enjoy this service. Dell Boomi is very easy to use, even to the less technically-inclined user. It is less appropriate to use in one system alone, but users would still find it functional in one system alone because it helps manage the system's metadata and allows that system to be integrated with other systems in the future.

If you have processes that are now managed and controlled using a spreadsheet, Zapier will give you a lot more control over what is happening and will help you increase productivity by eliminating simple steps such as sending emails and sharing information with your colleagues. It frees time for very transactional activities.

Pros
  • Pre-built connectors to almost anything which greatly reduce time to release of your integration needs.
  • Easy to use development platform with drag&drop features. Non-technical people could build simple integration processes in no time.
  • Great user community where you can get quick help if needed. Boomi people hang around there a lot.

  • Ease of use - multiple people in the organization can set up and run Zaps per their specific use cases without much training.
  • Connectivity - Zapier is able to connect to multiple applications we use on a regular basis.
  • Functionality - Zapier provides embedded functionality within the app itself (email, data conversion), but also appropriate triggers and actions for apps it connects to.
  • Versatile - Zapier can execute complicated and simple tasks and thus has many use cases.

Cons
  • More from a development perspective. It is always difficult to use the properties features. It takes a while to understand how the data/variables can be used across an integration.
  • Dell Boomi should also invest more on API Management and not just seen as a ETL,ESB tool.
  • Should roll out features more often based on users reviews.

Dell Boomi has provided us with the ability to connect our campus together using our various existing platforms. There are many supported features and have yet to run into something that we cannot do. Its user interface is very intuitive which would allow users to begin developing fairly easily. Usability
First of all, as a service (cloud service), we don't need to care about server maintenance any more, no worries about incorrect configurations, about down time. Second, for maintaining, we don't need a large team to do it. And of course, using Dell Boomi instead of manual transaction could help us to avoid people mistake while inputting data or doing transactions.

The interface is very user-friendly, and there are also many tools to help a brand-new user get started. For example, you can put your Zap idea into the AI bot, and it will basically build a shell of your Zap to get started on. The format for each step within a Zap is also very helpful (set up the connection/app, set up the fields/details, then test).

Performance
I would rate Dell Boomi as highly performant. We have used it for 4+ years and have not had any major issues with availability or speed. We also have not observed performance degradation when connecting it with other software solutions.

Boomi support was responsive and knowledgable, however being a closed cloud service, it doesn't have good community support. We found the learning curve to be steep and there aren't avenues like google, forums, or blogs that provide community driven insight into the product or how to go about designing solutions using the tool

Before we purchased Zapier, I contacted support and asked them if Zapier could support my intended workflow (this is actually a selection on their support form - awesome). Within 2 hours, I was contacted by a support team member who seemed sure it would work, but granted me premium access for 2 weeks to try it out for myself. Sure enough, it did! Ever since then, support has replied rapidly to any problems I have experienced and answered my questions within a few sentences.

We actually utilize both Integromat and Zapier at our company, for all the reasons detailed in this review. Though Zapier is excellent for simple client integrations, we often run into internal use cases that require complexity that Zapier cannot provide. Specifically working with API calls (not just webhooks), complex multi-step integrations with Routing/parsing/etc, and large volume integrations. Integromat is perfect for these use cases, but doesn’t provide the simplicity and account scalability that Zapier offers.

Return on Investment
  • ROI was flat. Coding directly in apps we were knowledgable in would have been faster, but maintenance higher.
  • It brought good process to the integration team that was new, however I wouldn't say it was a huge gain monetarily. It is a valid path out of many paths for integration, but doesn't rule them all.
