Calendly
It's well suited for music students' lessons. It's well suited for online coaching, primarily through places like Zoom and more. It helps simplify things for your clients, lets you program your schedule, and allows it all to go automatically! If you are working with a senior population, it may be a little tricky for them to sign up and then really hard for them to cancel lessons. There isn't a way to go to the site and cancel. You have to pull up the confirmed email and cancel from there, but people can lose emails.

Sabre
If you want to keep all of your choices in the same location, this is an excellent choice to make.Sabre is an excellent choice for serious travel agents who are prepared to devote a substantial amount of time to learning and becoming proficient with a booking platform. It provides agents with excellent functions such as the ability to find flight availability and pricing in real time, the capacity to hold flights for up to 72 hours, and the capability to book with a secure and well-known system. The primary issue is that it is geared toward the needs of agents; as a result, it is EXTREMELY challenging for a new user to pick up and become proficient with Sabre.

Pros
Calendly
  • Sync with multiple calendar types so my schedule is always current.
  • Integration with Zoom to schedule meetings, send invites, and populate my Zoom app accordingly.
  • Automatic email communication to all parties with all relevant details in a clear format.
  • Allowing team members to do the same in a way that I'm also notified of what meetings are taking place saves a lot of time in terms of coordinating to find out what other people are doing.
  • Well-designed interface that simplifies everything down to its clearest expression. Language instruction and interaction are wonderfully simple and clear.

Sabre
  • Sabre Red Workspace is constantly evolving to keep up with technology trends. For example, it is now available for agents to download on their iPads so that they can work from anywhere.
  • Sabre Red Workspace offers a suite called Red Apps which has many categories of useful apps that can customize your experience (some at no extra charge) and help simplify workflows.
  • Sabre Red Workspace provides a comprehensive library of every format or command that an agent could ever need to do his or her job.

Cons
Calendly
  • After a meeting is booked, having the ability to change the location without canceling the entire booking.
  • Being able to offer 2 different locked in locations for certain time periods of the day within the same event. So you're not having to create 2 events for the same thing, only different locations.
  • Giving users permission to create their own routing forms. We run an independent business model where our users like to have control over their subscriptions.

Sabre
  • Sabre does not have a well-working support system. Most calls require you to pay Sabre just for assistance within the system.
  • Sabre has a very large learning curve. It is very specific to itself - it is unlike other software and requires memorizing a lot of keystrokes.
  • Sabre is all in code and text-speak, so it is often difficult to understand.

Calendly
For all reasons like workflows, UI, and the way Calendly keeps all of us engaged through the Collective forum. It's indeed undeniable that no other product covers all business needs like Calendly does. On the other side, this has also reduced the workload by enabling us to focus more on other tasks for the day

Usability
Calendly
I gave Calendly an 8 because overall I think it is very much user friendly even for someone who has never used anything similar. The only issue I have had with usability is what I already stated about how the settings are in sub categories making some things difficult to find at first.

Support Rating
Calendly
I only reached out to Support once but they were very prompt and easy to work with. I had some questions about setting up the follow-up emails for after people would do the interview. They were very helpful and gave assistance and we solved the issue very fast. I would definitely recommend.

Sabre
In my 14 years of using Sabre Red Workspace, their software support desk has always offered top-notch customer service and professionalism. Their representatives are extremely knowledgeable, and there has never been a time where they weren't able to quickly and accurately resolve our issues or answer our questions when we called, and we have never been charged for their assistance.

Alternatives Considered
Calendly
When I started using it, there were not many competitors in this space. I've seen some like Mixmax that seem to work well for solopreneurs or where free version might be better than Calendly's free version. I use the paid version of Calendly and it's just kept serving us well so why change?

Return on Investment
Calendly
  • Positive: When people want to meet, I can simply send my Calendly link and it takes less than 5 seconds to do.
  • Positive: It integrates well with Zoom, which means that by default all my appointments include Zoom information for a remote call.

Sabre
  • Overall for the business, it allows us to profit on international flights, where outside of Sabre we would not earn anything. We can earn percentages on certain international flights for booking or add commissions to base prices not posted elsewhere.
  • Sabre creates a barrier to entry for new agents and keeps agents from committing to the business.
  • Sabre gives base prices for agents that are significantly less than those found to a normal user, searching for a flight. This allows for sometimes very high added commissions (upwards of $500 per ticket) while also providing a lower cost to the customer, keeping them working with you in the future.
