CapLinked vs. Datasite Diligence Virtual Data Room

CapLinked is a collaboration and document editing tool that fits our needs, a software that offers control and management of documents with security and immediacy. In my organization we use it and we are pleased because it makes it possible for us to collaborate with teammates and parties. external is safe and easy by storing, editing and maintaining documents in a secure space.

Datasite is well suited for organizing large quantities of a variety of documents into folders. It is not as well suited for Xcel, which generally requires downloading in order to review, but there are quick preview options for Word and PDF items.

• CapLinked offers us reliable data rooms working very well for us allowing us to trust our data and be 100% secure with proper management, it allows us to know the critical data elements, data risk, data compliance and data quality by automating the compliance.
• It works perfectly for us for finance, audits, private equity and venture capital. It is a tool that allows us to easily manage thousands of documents and keep them protected.

• Quick preview of document content is something I love! It lets me decide whether the file is relevant to our purposes or not instantly.
• Navigating through the folders is also very easy, and the website is also responsive without any lag/stutter.
• Although I don't use the feature due to confidentiality reasons, quick translate option is a really great addition to the tool.
• Many datarooms can only show excel documents as PDFs for a quick preview. I like the way Datasite Diligence Virtual Data Room has Excel online handler to view the file. This is so helpful!

• Ability to follow-up to closed Q&A answers without creating new question (i.e. seller marked Q&A as closed when it doesn't address your request)

It is my go to data room provider and I am super comfortable using it. I don't think I would want to use anything else since I can't trust them like I can trust Datasite

It's easy to manoeuvre across. And you can just use the search bar at the top to find specific files, so you don't have to search through all the folders. Relevant in a big deal with lots of workstreams, such as CDD, FDD, ODD, RDD.

I think Intralinks is the closest competitor. Relative to the rest of the providers (outside of Intralinks), Datasite Diligence Virtual Data Room is easier to use and more reliable.

There is a bulk download, and it appears there is a bulk upload which makes it easier to get multiple files onto the platform when needed.
