  • Chartbeat includes internals in its calculation which can be misleading sometimes.
  • Charbeat sometimes takes a couple of minutes to update.

I am no longer employed by the company I used Chartbeat at and my current job is not a subscriber. But, if I were still at my prior job, I'd continue using this to maximize our web audience and research their habits.

Alternatives Considered

GA is free, but often hard to use. Allowing access to GA for a client can often lead to a ton of unnecessary conversations like, "Hey why is this page doing so poorly." For a 30,000 ft view, you can give your executive what they want to see without opening the entire kimono. I currently use Gaug.es. It's cheaper and a bit more simplified. But I like it's quick read format that allows me to view all 10 of my clients sites at once.
