CodeSignal vs. Predictive Index Behavioral Assessment

If you hire for IT or Software development based roles, I can absolutely recommend this. It will improve the quality of candidates you are filtering through in your process and you will be able to add stakeholders early into the hiring process to make it more efficient. Pricing is very reasonable too so its not out of reach for even smaller organizations. Generally speaking though, if you dont hire in bulk for Software Developers etc, then maybe its not for you.

Predictive Index has served us well so far in helping determine key personality traits of salespeople we hire. How will they sell? Is sales a good fit for them? We have not expanded to use it with other teams/depts yet. We primarily use the behavioral assessment (not cognitive).

• The test cases are quite well-written, and the grade we earn as a result of them is very fair. Users can use a unit testing tool to perform their own unit testing, allowing them to double-check their code before submitting it.

• The platform should provide candidates with detailed feedback, allowing them to identify areas for improvement if necessary.
• Furthermore, despite the fact that the assessment is complete, the platform prioritizes speed. In order to finish the assignment on time, people may be forced to forgo quality or desired output.
• They should improve the question selection procedure, as some of the questions are too long to finish in the allocated time.

• In Beta -> Hire -> New Candidates - > I would like to see the ability to create 1 or 2 additional "Type" folders that can be customized for my company. By being able to do this, I can more efficiently manage my potential candidates, rather that every time I go to review a position, having to make these individual selections each time. I would like the favorite icon and the pass icon to remain; however find it extraneous to have to sort through these candidates each time.

I give it this rating because it is very easy to use. Not only that it is proctored and trusted. Moreover, the candidates find it easy to use given that it is a single test. This means that we get much more applications than using other platforms. This helps us to hire better faster and easier with codesignal.

We have plans to expand this to our entire organization in the US as well as our affiliates in Germany, France and the UK.

The UI of configuring CodeSignal for a non-technical screener can be tricky to navigate at first. Once you get the hang of the platform and how to master customization, it becomes a much smoother experience. However, some restrictions to search functions and reporting still need improvement.

Very easy to use for both administrators and those taking the assessment. This tool is really a game-changer for staffing, onboarding, and retention. It is like having a crystal ball sometimes with insights into the behaviors of job candidates and is critical for finding the right person for the right role.

Yes, pages load quickly, reports comes in a reasonable time frame, only when CodeSIgnal integrates, it provide small glitches.

I am not sure whether or not they have replaced but surely emerged as a big competitor. Their support system should be good knowing that they are in completion with the best hackerrank. I feel they could do a much better job but I have not used their support much

The Customer Success team has been quite helpful during the times that I've interreacted with them. I've also found support and implementation to be responsive with any questions related to the initial set up phase or for on going support. It has clear details for every staff to understand the basic, and staffs can communicate efficiently to provide strong backgrounds. Also, the manager who provided this training has collaborated well with the Codesignal staff so that everyone could learn more about CodeSignal and look at it from different users' perspectives. So the training was really helpful

CodeSignal's platform is the best in almost every aspect. It provides a nice user-friendly environment. The functionalities the environment provides are the best. It is a nice cheating-free platform that is very easy to understand and use. The scores provided are normalized and the range of scores provided is really easy to understand.

The other assessments that we examined felt more like an SAT exam than a recruitment tool. The results were difficult for our managers to read through and understand. There were a lot of words, with very little actually being said. The PI was succinct and precise.

• The PI has been very helpful when analyzing employees. You cannot go wrong when you are able to see a candidate or employees work style.
• The ROI is very positive. A lot of companies have a specific culture that they are trying to create or adhere to. This software helps you see if an employee would be a good fit for your company or not.
