It scans the content of outbound email and automatically encrypts or takes action based on user-defined policies, for any email environment to secure any mailbox beyond its native capabilities.
Anytime you have a process that has to do multiple things, transfer data, interact with other systems, Control-M is critical. Zix integrates well with Google Workspace to work seamlessly and behind the scenes. Whole message encryption (including attachments) can be programmed with a keyword or phrase in the subject line. Our staff finds that relatively easy to do. Plus, if our staff forget to add the keyword to encrypt the message, all messages are scanned for sensitive information and encrypted anyway. Great safeguard!
The good thing is that there are so many connectors available. Control-M provides lots of features, and we are using almost 60 to 70% of them. Control-M is providing us with so much capability to use during our daily problem-solving.
Most of the job creation is very simple and quick and worked as per expectations.
Testing and debugging are also very easy, and you can test multiple scenarios using temporary changes during job runs.
Log and output presentations are also very good, short and detailed.
To monitor specific job net, we can create viewpoint, which can be use on daily basis.

Zix scans outbound emails for personal financial information and encrypts accordingly.

Zix has an easy end-user interface enabling users to release false-positive encrypted emails without encryption and requiring the end-user to leave an explanation for why the email was released without encryption, therefore, leaving an audit trail.
Zix was very easy to implement on our email domain with a few clicks of the mouse.

I haven't come across too many spots where I'm not happy with the product. Most of the shortfalls were in my knowledge of the product as opposed to the actual product. Currently we're having a little bit of an issue with the deployment of the software to the servers, but it's more of an "us" problem than a product problem. I can't really give any good examples of shortfalls of the product that I've found so far.

There are so many functions available, I'm not sure if the deficiencies we see are actually with Zix or our lack of knowledge. So this in itself is a weakness.
Zix has had a lot of issues recently with outages. They've been remedied quickly, but there have been quite a few.

It is one of the best solutions on the market, in terms of innovation, reliability and stability. Control-M provides security when used by the largest companies in Mexico such as banks, department stores and logistics. It has proven to be able to integrate with new technologies on the market and provide almost 100% availability, thanks to its automatic FailOver scheme.

It has almost perfectly surpassed all of our requirements, and interactions their people are a delight. We expect to continue using Zix to provide streamlined encrypted document delivery and for sensitive communications. It is also helpful that many lending institutions are standardized on the platform, making the high level of interaction that we have be as seamless as possible.

User experience is meeting my expectations. We had a manual checklist, which Control-M Reports has now replaced, that helped us check the jobs without any issues. So, being fair with the work, the ratings should also be fair. More to come as the AI progresses; this will not only help motivate the Control-M Developers but also lead to the development of advanced technology.

From an admin side I believe that the portals need to be combined into one main web based portal. This would make it easier to access for admins when setting up policies and trying to view reports. That is the one area I would say Zix is not so easy to use. However, for the end user I believe the product is great as they really have little involvement.

Secondary Instances: Control-M supports the installation of a secondary instance of the entire Control-M environment, Control-M/EM, or Control-M/Server.Automatic & Manual Failover: In case of a failure on the primary host, Control-M can automatically failover to the secondary host if using Oracle or MSSQL databases. Manual failover is also an option, enabling a controlled switch during planned maintenance.Fallback: After resolving the issue on the primary host, you can easily fall back to it, or even designate the secondary host as the new primary. Database Replication: For high availability, Control-M leverages database replication from the primary site to a disaster recovery site. While replication is essential, its implementation and maintenance are the user's responsibility.
The availability of Zix has been very good. We have never had an outage due to an issue with the Zix portal or service. They plan their upgrades for off hours and do a good job of communicating any planned upgrades or outages well in advance. Zix has always been available when we need it.

there is no lag in transferring large encrypted documents. Real Estate transactions are horribly time sensitive and stressful. Zix performs flawlessly. It is always there, always responds without delay. It is probably dark magic.

Support is generally excellent. Getting lower priority ones resolved can take a while, but it's rare for something to have to be dumped in the "unfixable" bin. If you end up speaking to Houston or Tel Aviv, then you know you've got a "live one".

I give it the high rating due to the fact support will be rarely needed. Zix documentation is pretty solid, clear, and helpful. When contacted, Zix did a good job in resolving the issues and we were able to move forward without any issues on the zix side. The app is easy to use, and again requires little support.

The training is very thorough and well individualized for our application. It was done online with the trainer on telephone.I felt that they were truly interested in my success, and provided resources for follow up. The trainer was easily understood with thorough knowledge of the product and giving helpful advice for implementation.

Incorporates software simulations, learning games, and built-in assessments to enhance comprehension and engagement. The online training we received from Zix was very good. They did a good job of walking us through the entire setup process and also provided good documentation as a reference. It was valuable because we worked directly with our configuration and portal during the training. We weren't just working with a hypothetical example.

As HA we have depend on the external DB, why don't we have HA feasibility with embedded DB. As with external DB, there are performance issues and fine tuning the DB. As if its embedded DB, Control-M it self take care of the functionality.

Zix was already implemented when I started. I migrated our Zix to the cloud version years later. Zix support did a great job assisting me in moving to the cloud. They worked with me the entire way, and it was a painless process. Moving to the cloud was a great recommendation. They were really thinking of our best interests.

We wanted something that was common in our industry so our clients and partners would understand it. We also wanted an email encryption system that was policy-based so our users didn't have to do anything to ensure private information was well-protected. Zix fits the bill in both instances.

We've saved potentially millions of dollars in compliance fines by using Zix. The amount of HIPAA information that gets sent by email is staggering and prior to deploying Zix we were unprotected. The level of assurance and auditing trail is awesome and provides incredible value.
While many email users were at first inconvenienced they've come to appreciate the protection they received from the service because people often make mistakes when sending emails about the sensitivity of the information they are sharing they feel they have a safety net with Zix that is keeping them out of harm's way.
