Before using Epic MyChart as a company we would contact our customers to inform them of results or appointments. With Epic My Chart, this has saved valuable resources as customers can now access their results on the app interface. This is very smooth and effective. We can now send direct marketing to them and generally keep them well informed.

Great for getting POTENTIAL new patients, but there is definitely room for improvement. As an out-of-network office, it has proven to be difficult to get these new patients to commit to an appointment, many will schedule and then call the day before and cancel once they find out we do not take their insurance.

Zocdoc
If was a zero on the scale I would choose. if Zocdoc charged a flat fee monthly for a referrals that would make more sense. Otherwise they are the only ones benefiting from the service. They are a total scam! do not utilize them as a referral source unless you want to lose money! Zocdoc is completely OK with tacking on innocuous and inaccurate charges. Further, they refuse to work with you on paying it. as it stands, I will be filing a complaint with a Better Business Bureau. Zocdoc has been accused of violating the anti kickback law put into place to stop such predator practice. Given that soft dock is a corporation and they have hired a team of lawyers to speak legally used to squeeze their way out of taking responsibility. They know what they're doing is wrong. They just don't care

Cons
Epic
  • Slow communication form for private messaging, could add a live chat feature option.
  • Better organization to have my chart of multiple companies flow seamlessly on the patient/individual side. A lot of times they have to create multiple accounts, one person provider.
  • Being able to use the app outside of the US allows more access and freedom-range for those that travel or work internationally.

  • Better tracking of new clients via the dashboard without using the whisper as we take PatientPop phone calls.
  • Ability to have more fields in the appointment request module be required.
  • Less expensive annual fee.

Zocdoc
  • high cost for customer acquisition
  • customers cancel and practice has no recourse, but must pay Zocdoc
  • Not enough time to verify the customer is sincere and get their paperwork in before Zoc Doc charges us
  • High cost of service for nurse practitioners
  • High rate of attrition- few customers converted to our practice compared to other methods
  • We were promised one rate per customer acquired, then the posted rate was increased, twice
  • Unable to even charge a no show fee for patients who changed at last minute
  • the service as set up encourages patients to bait and switch to other providers at the last minute
  • there is no way to limit incoming patients to your home state, so people from out of state book and then have to be notified and unbooked, creating extra work and hassle

if there was a rating of zero this is what I would give him. Perhaps -10? as I mentioned they are great at getting your referrals, just the wrong ones. There is no extremely process for getting the right client to the right provider. Their calendar sink does not work so they will book over the top of you frequently. They refused to work with you on a reasonable payment plan

The sales rep. disappears and the admin (onboarding) team will provide a list of things THEY need. Then you'll need to chase them down to see if they were received. Even if they were it could be weeks before next steps are taken. We gave them the benefit of the doubt but ultimately, they could pass muster. There is limited follow-through and absolutely no significant SEO or reputation management. Our website had fewer hits in two years than most get in a month. Again, we assumed it was on our side so we sought answers. The only person who ever answered a call or an email was the selling Rep. And then her response was to get someone to "reach out" to us. We can't even leave easily. I've been trying to exit this program for more than nine month and can't get a call back or returned email from anyone. When you do get a live person it's the usual," I'll have to get one of our senior members to call you back." When I explain that never happens they tell us there is no one who can talk right now

Be careful with their aggressive sales tactics. Take the time you need, do not rush into such decisions for your business. There are many many other companies out there

I can't select it, but I do use psychology today. They charge a flat fee and allow you to list your profile and information on their website. I have gained many referrals from them for 1/8 of the price

  • I have lost money utilizing Zocdoc.
  • Even though they claim their calendars sync with Google, they frequently booked over me, which upset clients I attempted to work with.
  • When confronted with their unethical behavior, they basically have it "It sucks to be you" attitude.
