Formstack Documents vs. Outlaw

[Formstack Documents (formerly WebMerge) is] well suited for a mid-size organization that has multiple data inputs and needs to provide structure and professional document generation. As helpful as it is, the cost would prevent smaller businesses from realizing the cost savings that a larger one will.

Outlaw is great for companies that use contracts on a regular basis. Outlaw keeps all of your contracts in one place and is fairly user-friendly. If you do not use the contract on a regular basis I would not see a use for the software. Overall it is a great program once you learn how to use it internally. End-to-end I have not seen much better.

• Clear and usable documentation to walk through setup in a number of scenarios

• Templates. This allows us to create one document and just edit the contact details.
• Simplicity. It's easy to use.
• Tracking. We can see who did what when and who has viewed it.

• We've had some issues with document formatting when the Formstack document comes through. Nothing outrageous, but it has been very inconvenient and annoying.
• The Formstack website is not attractive or user friendly.
• I think it could be clearer to Formstack users that it is a tool that needs another tool, not a tool all its own.

• Export function to be more easily used.
• Ability to access fully executed documents more easily (the different version histories results in the wrong version being downloaded a lot).
• Notifications for when a contract is fully executed if you aren't the signee but do need to be notified.

Ease of use, nice functionality that saves time

Outlaw is a great system to use and I think a few small improvements (creating a consultant/vendor list, allowing more people to have accounts without a significant jump in price, etc.) could get it to a 10.

We had a dedicated rep assigned to our account. She was fantastic. She helped with the setup/implementation of the software to start. Gave our sales team training and if there was ever a unique scenario where something wasn't going as expected, she was very quick to respond and help resolve the issue

Each of the programs above answered a specific call to action. While each addressed a small portion of our need, they never quite fit the bill for what we needed. It was actually a representative from three of the ones above which selected WebMerge. They wanted to sell their product, but knew that we would be unfulfilled if we went with them

Outlaw was selected based on simplicity and price, but we had to move away from Outlaw due to lack of integration.

• The return on investment has been very good. It's very cost effective product. Our service team is on the phone and it takes away from the customer service if they are having to input the same information on applications. Web Merge eliminates additional key strokes while giving customers more time to run their business.

• Increased employee efficiency.
• Quicker execution of contracts.

• Dashboard is confusing for those that do not use Outlaw on a regular basis.
