Freshteam vs. Inova Payroll

We were looking for an ATS which can generate detailed report on daily, weekly and monthly basis. This ATS does it best. It is fast and does not lag while using. Supports multiple logins and does not disturb any subusers. Not suitable for big sized companies as it still needs some more features to be added to make it appropriate for big firms.

Unless I'm in an unusual situation with an employee, it only takes a few minutes to complete payroll with Inova.Some features are not yet fully customizable and, as a result, force us to reverse engineer processes in a roundabout way that does not necessarily meet our business needs.

• Moving interviews through each stage. It helps keep you stay organized and no one falls through the cracks.
• Communicating with people through the Freshteam email is easy and again it helps guide interviews through the process. It also reminds you to follow up with people when they will not move forward to the next stage.
• The hiring manager can log in and see the progress and notes at all times. You can also load your different interview questions in so the entire hiring committee can have everything in one place.

• Calculate tax deductions and distribute paychecks for auditing and tax reporting purposes.
• Applicant Tracking feature that allows you to create and post vacancies on the job page of the website and on various job portals.
• Design plans for onboarding sessions and communicate with new hires.

• User experience - most people at our company were extremely confused by Freshteam and I frequently struggled with the same task (i.e. adding users).
• Tracking applicant diversity - we ended up using Typeform to supplement Freshteam.
• Analytics - hard to use and not particularly useful.

• I would like the ATS component that monitors candidate hiring to be able to trigger more hiring activities like connecting with our background check provider and scheduling a prospect appointment.
• The benefit statement could be more advanced.

Not usable, not able to undo the premium features to enable any downgrade request

Zoho recruitment is also a decent product but we liked Freshteam over that just because of a few added advantages that this is giving to us, namely, we are using other products from Freshworks like Freshconnect. Secondly, Zoho does have less customer base compared to Freshworks. Hence we choose Freshworks over Zoho.

Our company implemented the use of Gusto, and although the payroll service is excellent, the main reason we switched to Inova Payroll was the poor customer service that this program offered us in order to solve the "MANY" problems that were shown on the site.

• Budget friendly for small and medium sized businesses. This is the most affordable ATS with all the important features required.
• This has really given a good ROI overall.
• Overall we are having a good positive impact using Freshteam is highly recommended for small and medium sized firms.

• It minimized our cost as we were able to get rid of the paper time tracking system altogether.
• Recruiting, hiring, and onboarding are streamlined in one place where we can connect you directly to payroll.
