Geckoboard vs. Bizview

Great value for the money. Excellent for smaller agencies with multiple projects and teams in a smaller space. We can quickly roll out mobile displays to help with a particular deployment push or monitoring a clients website engagement. It's also useful for showing live data without requiring analytics to run reports from a CRM, etc.

My favorite part is using if for analytical review reports, especially budget to actual reviews. I can make changes to the GL based on issues found during the review and the report updates immediately without having to update, re-key, verify changes, etc. I know it is going to be updated and correct every time.

• Geckoboard can aggregate data from a number of other apps into a singular dashboard.

• Once a worksheet has been created, you can change a single cell and update the entire report. This makes it much easier than recreating a report every time you start.
• It draws data directly from our database that can be filtered down in various ways. This allows us to get the data that we really need quicker.

• A bit more flexibility in the number of columns would be nice.
• Ability to scale to mobile device (web).
• App capabilities are missing on Android.

• Access to comprehensive training for new users is lacking. While the pay-based BizNet University has some useful videos it doesn't allow for other learning styles.
• Having to create a separate OCBC data source and linked server for each arm of business opened is sometimes a hassle.

My company did not renew due to changes in the organization.

Lack of communication from BizNet on new policies with the resellers, changes in the policies that affect the client aren't positive in my opinion

With a simple interface and available templates, creating basic dashboards is easy. Obviously depending on the data you want to visualize, there may be higher learning curves. That being said, they have a huge amount of integrations and extensible frameworks. If you are using anything made in the past ten years there is an API function or integration that can get it talking to the platform. As such, it's pretty easy to hit the main data points you want and get it on a cheap display in front of your team.

Excel knowledge is a prerequisite to use BizNet well.

The support levels vary based on the level of plan that you have but that's to be expected. Virtually everything except the Enterprise plan has basic chat/email support. While they are responsive they are not going to be much assistance in helping you figure out API calls or implementing 3rd party integrations. That is to be expected and the support community can pretty much get you in the right direction if you look.

We have only had a few occasions to call on the support team over 4 years, but every time our need was met in a superior manner.

We went pretty seamlessly into BizNet, but could have had lots of trouble if the professional service was not aware of our set up and use.

Domo is more robust. We do use both because Geckoboard is really easy to show the rest of our team without the need for additional licenses.

FRX - Great Plains Report Writer - These do produce financial reports but are much more tedious to set up. BizNet is much more flexible and easier to use. The functionality is an Excel add-on which allows us to use the powerful functionality of Excel as well as Biznet's functionality to do data retrieval from Sage 100 general ledger.

• While we originally used this as an internal IS tool, we eventually have expanded it to be used by nearly every department.
• Because pricing is monthly, we can grow or decrease our usage based on our current client needs.
• Because it is low cost and easy to deploy, we can utilize it in place of considerable resources in analytics and reporting by delivering snapshots of data without pulling reports.

• BizNet continues to pay for itself.
• I am sure we haven't even learned to use half of what it is capable of and their customer service is top notch.
• I would say that BizNet continues to have a positive impact on our entire financial portion of our business.
