Google Slides vs. Pitch vs. Statuspage

Well-suited to working on presentations or PowerPoint-style documents, including setting up templated slides and working collaboratively on presentations. It's less well-suited to setting up printable documents, though I have used it for simple printable documents, you just need to remember to set the slide size to A4 (or your preferred paper size) measurements.

It is good software according to its price. It has almost every feature. If you are looking for something different and now you want to add some hint of uniqueness you should go for it. It has amazing features and you can make several changes to its background and as well as you can add responses as if they themselves are speaking.

Statuspage is a very straightforward yet reliable platform for communicating scheduled maintenance and unexpected downtime. We love the ability to automate maintenance windows and customize every aspect of the messaging. While in a situation where we have the degradation of services or downtime, the platform is easy to use, intuitive and reliable. The last thing I want is to spend a lot of time getting a message out, that time is better spent on handling interactions with customers and addressing the issue.

• The slides generated by the "Beautify this slide" feature are not editable. You need to prompt again to make the changes you want.
• You don't have a way to switch to another company template. For example, if you want to switch from light to dark theme, you can't.
• The layout of the Animations sequence is not easy to read.

The popularity for Google Slides among the casual technology tool users is so great that we are not in a position to replace this tool with anything else. Every other tool either doesn't have the popularity, or doesn't match the ease of sharing level of Slides. The training needed to learn a different tool is too great. Google Slides is very easy to pick up and master.

Google Slides is very easy and intuitive for creating simple, straightforward presentations. Its limitations make for less decision making. Being part of the Google Suite makes for easy sharing and collaboration, auto-saving, and time-stamped versions/edit history. However, unlike a platform like Canva, there's no icon library, photos, graphics, or elements built-in, so if you're wanting more creative designs, you have to import or create yourself.

Support is very responsive although we haven't had to contact them in a time of emergency, all of our support inquiries were answered in a timely manner and usually resolved with their first response. Support responsiveness played a big role in our decision since if we need help during downtime, we can't really afford to wait.

I've used Microsoft Powerpoint, Apple Keynote, and Prezi in previous roles, and comparing them with Google Slides, I'd say the latter stands out for collaboration, ease of sharing, and real-time editing, which are really critical for teamwork. While PowerPoint and Keynote offer more advanced design and animation options, and Prezi is better suited for more dynamic presentations, Google Slides is more practical for day-to-day collaboration.

Pitch is a powerful version of Power Point, with enough features to create very professional and fast presentations. Canva is good but the results are limited, you need to get/buy something almost ready but with Pitch you can do it as fast but better looking and with more flexibility

I would say StatusPage on its own is a great service. StatusPage for Hipchat can only be used with that specific chat client. But on its own StatusPage can be integrated with many tools, like Slack, email notifications, text notifications, etc. I don't know of a tool that compares with StatusPage. You could essentially host your own status site with Greed Yellow or Red statuses, but you would be missing out on the robustness of a tool that keeps historical data, uptime, and segregates services based on components.
