Greenshades vs. PrismHR

We used to have ADP for payroll, the gold standard. I guess to save a few bucks my company switched to Greenshades. From time to time my payroll stub does not show up on time. I asked my HR department about this and was told they are not fond of Greenshades. I call Greenshades to ask about the delay. They do not have any support contact information on the employee website I use to get my payroll information. I had to google them and found a support contact on their website. Not good. When I spoke to someone to ask about the pay stub delays, he hung up on me.

PrismHR is well suited for running payroll and generating reports, managing employees, and creating a database with employee pay and benefit information. This wouldn’t be a learning and development platform or performance management system. It’s also not a great tool for automating data per department or financial dashboard. Lastly, I do not think previously it had a strong enough cyber security which is why there was a data breach. Thankfully sensitive information wasn’t compromised though.

• Claiming notifications are not on home page.

In my previous place of employment, we used the Paycom system as our resource for managing hours and time. I do believe that the Paycom system had more privacy and safety aspects implemented with their software. However, Greenshades Software is a very user-friendly website that provides all of the resources that are necessary to do the job well!

We previously used TriNet, ADP Total source, ADP Resource. PrismHR is more basic in design for both the manager and user. But in the end, it does the same work all these other platforms perform, but at a lesser cost which is better for the company as it saves us money so we can pass along savings to our employees.

• Eliminates the need for a GP server to run our payroll internally
• Assists greatly with filing our tax returns on-time and correctly.
