For an organization looking to get insights into what their users are experiencing as far as SLE while utilizing the network, Jupiter Mist Premium Analytics works great. The ease of use of [this] product is one of the best that I have seen. The ability to track so many areas of your wireless network becomes a great benefit in determining the overall needs of the entire network.

It helps us with compliance with the reports available like utilization reports and capacity planning reports. It helps you to keep track of what all process are consuming the resources. It helps you in monitoring what is happening in your switches, routers and firewall

TotalView is well suited for an infrastructure where you are looking for a cost-effective, additive network management tool for in-depth device diagnostic information. This will not be a one-stop shop application, but it does what is advertised very well. SNMP is required for configuration and adding additional devices is quick and simple. This product also works well with Shoretel VoIP systems and allows for a full overview of connected phones along with being able to view calls on an extension/IP basis.

• Alerts has to be configured correctly otherwise unnecessary bombarding of alerts can cause inconvenience.
• The server on which ManageEngine OpManager is to be deployed should have higher resources as monitoring a large number of devices may slow down the performance of the system.
• Configuring the advanced features may require a learning curve.

• If you have some complexities in your network addressing, the network diagram tool will lay everything out automatically, but it will be confusing to look at. There is a way to edit the diagram so it looks more intuitive, but it may require some time to edit everything the right way.
• TotalView will count virtual interfaces such as voice dial-peers and service modules as "ports," which counts against your license count. However, there is a way to edit each device to remove these "false positives" so it doesn't suck up licenses, but it can take some time to clean those up.

This product works very well for our organization, and it would be hard to not have a tool like this going forward

The rating I provided is based on the product quality, experience (I have been using OpManager for almost the last 4 years), and relevance of the information/response I generated through Manage Engine OpManager. I have also received good support from OpManager.

At first, we were not able to add our Avaya switches to the configuration backup module, our partner tried to help, but they did not find the solution, we had one remote session with tech support of ME and they solve the problem.

Juniper Mist Premium Analytics is very comparable to this other products. However, it provides much more details. We selected this product because it integrates with our network environment. We have Juniper switches and use the MIST AI system. Jupiter products are state of the art and make our jobs easier due to the ease of use and data that they provide.

During our competitive analysis, we found ManageEngine OpManager was not expensive compared to other vendors. At the same time, there was no compromise on the features such as customized reporting or configuring alerts per our clientele's unique requirements. These are our client words "Other vendors ask us to pay more $$$ for enabling additional email alerts".

The three tools listed do different things with some similarities. For us the biggest need was data analysis, semi-automatic troubleshooting, and data gathering and topology mapping. TotalView hit the most of these in the price point we were looking for. Each tool has "extras," but we felt that the extras provided by TotalView were good enough and that the other tools didn't justify the cost.

• I don't know if you can calculate ROI with a monitoring solution, there are more factors to calculate.
• We found a really big problem with a network switch (faulty transceiver) in a trunk configuration with OPManager. this caused us serial troubles with the overall network stability.
• We are loosing around € 3.000 to 5.000 per hour if our network is not working so this was a great help to fix this issue
• Our label printers are really important to monitoring in our warehouse system, this makes OPManager a great solution for that

• Wuite possibly the best spent money i have recommended in my 20+ year IT career.
