KanbanFlow vs. Whimsical

Most of the project management software in existence today is focused on agile/sprint based processes. If your team happens to use Kanban instead, KanbanFlow is one of the best options for tracking work. It's quick to get started and learn and has a manageable feature set that won't overwhelm anyone.

It's extremely well-suited for rapid wire-framing of concepts, as product teams can quickly collaborate on any idea and create a visual blueprint of it. Whimsical could provide more intuitive feature prioritization templates. The current templates lack the necessary detail and could be further enhanced from a UI/UX standpoint.

• I'm not sure if it has this or not because I've only been using it for about 6 months but we haven't quite figured out how to archive things. We have lots of data on that main page from Q3 and Q4 of last year but we need to figure out how to get it away from our main page so we can focus on new things this quarter
• I know when I was first added there were a few things the admin had to do in order to do that. All I remember is that it wasn't simple for them to get me hooked up. They had to do a few steps and then I was granted access. I don't know what exactly but I had to wait.

• Kind of want to see some of the functionality of other similar apps like Miro but the app is great at what it does
• Folder structure takes a little time to get used to
• Nitpicking here but not a big fan of the default font

It's fairly intuitive, I rarely have any problems using the app. The layout is pretty user-friendly and easy to adapt to. There's a lot of tooltips to help with the various features and functions, so it's very easy to get self-help for the most part. Overally, I'm pretty happy and satisfied with the usage of Whimsical for mind-mapping.

I reached out to support, as I was interested in possibly investing in the organization, and they quickly and happily informed me they are a bootstrap organization and do not take on investors at this time. The swift response and information readily available for my consumption was extremely helpful and shows how solid the team behind it is.

I really like the simplicity and the subtasks found in KanbanFlow. It seems to be the easiest tool to get clients not using another method to use this without any challenges on their part. Trello has card dependencies, which is a nice touch. Trello also has a lot of add-ons, but I find them to be a little glitchy. Kanban Tool has really nice reporting and analytics.

Whimsical is so much easier and has a better interface, so I think it's more suited to our workflow if compared to other tools like Google Charts. I really love this tool and I'm looking to learn and use it even more, as it helps us optimize our time, planning, and delivering more efficiently.

• We've been using free version, so it's a no brainer.
• As it helps us focus on the information organization process, we don't lose time redoing work due to the lack of planning before doing design or code.
• We can collaborate on the same project, so it's easier to get things done as we're working from home as well.
