MediaValet is much better and easier to use than File Explorer. MediaValet lets us search for photos, control who can access them, and not worry about our assets being deleted at random. This is critical for a government organization that oftentimes needs to search for assets …
Asset sharing and organization is better, more user friendly, and more appealing within MediaValet. The layout and flexibility give these portals a much more professional look and feel. Both internally and externally we have appreciated the output of these specific portals much …
They really are very different platforms. MediaValet offers much more control over who has access to files and how they are downloaded, as well as offering conversions of some files such as JPEG to PNG or TIFF. Also, through user profiles, you can grant access to a specific …
1. Business file systems - this ends up being based on the logic of whomever first set it up, and is typically not very flexible, and terrible search capabilities. 2. Teams - a little better than above due to some control of access, but still painful searching process. 3. Custom …
I think MediaValet far exceeds the ability of Dropbox Business in many instances - - It offers a better search engine. You can find more easily searchable files without having to actually re-name individual files. It offers multi-segmentation. Files can sit across several …
I've had extensive experience using the proprietary DAM system built for General Motors to manage their image and creative assets. While a number of years have passed, MediaValet offers all of the features and more as technology has rapidly evolved with additional capabilities …

I have used asset management systems based in on-premise storage such as Drobos or other raid systems and web-based DAMs, such as Canto which are more comparable to how MediaValet works on a cloud-based system. Nothing beats MediaValet in reliability, ease of use, and customer …
I'd used one with another company called MediaBank which had been very difficult to use—to the point where I was wary of using a D.A.M. Have been pleasantly surprised with MediaValet after that first exposure to D.A.M. systems.

More cost efficient and better searching capabilities.
MediaValet is well suited for organizations that need a centralized place to manage and share a large volume of marketing assets across multiple teams or locations. It works especially well when brand consistency is important and when assets need to be shared with outside vendors or partners. It is less appropriate for very small teams with minimal assets or simple storage needs, where a basic file-sharing tool may be sufficient. It can also feel like more than what’s needed if teams are not actively tagging or organizing assets, since the value comes from consistent usage and upkeep.
I would love to have an improved MediaValet app. People send me pictures to my phone that need to go into the DAM, and it would be easier for me to upload from my phone rather than email to myself and then upload on the computer.
I would love to see upload dates displayed when searching for photos to add to the Portals I create.
I wish the delete feature didn't delete ALL of the pictures, even when they're in different categories.
It would be cool to somehow integrate MediaValet as a folder on the computer like dropbox.
It is not only likely, but we have been doing it for more than 6 years. We have even had the service since before I joined the company. The service works well for me and I hope that this service will continue to be renewed next year, as not having it would make my job more complicated.
MediaValet is easy to use in government because it's very intuitive. We have a wide range of internet skills at my organization, and everyone can use this tool with minimal/no training. It's great on an administrative side as well. Admins can control who sees and downloads photos. This is perfect for our organization, since some things can be kept private across departments.
I mainly use MediValet to send special medical images to our partners. Collaboration with other companies is very simplified through MediaValet. The qualitatively uploaded images can be excactly assigned and organised through various filters. It is much clearer and easier for our partners to understand when the images have been accurately labelled and assigned beforehand.
Asset sharing and organization is better, more user friendly, and more appealing within MediaValet. The layout and flexibility give these portals a much more professional look and feel. Both internally and externally we have appreciated the output of these specific portals much more than what we had been attempting to share with these other programs.
While we have had MediaValet only for a short period, we are already seeing improvements in how quickly certain projects can be completed.
I recently created an Annual Report which had a lot of big image files and data tables and using a Lightbox with our design agency to share these files saved us a huge amount of time.
As we roll out MediaValet to the teams, staff are becoming more aware of the quality, amount, and value of our best assets.
