Missive vs. Socialtext (discontinued) vs. Workflowy

It fills the gap between large commercial softwares for large companies, and for small companies. Most email hosts are just basic until you start bringing in video calls, chat, etc. Missive has that and more, and I think is the #1 email choice for small companies.

We use Social Text as a platform to air our issues with different departments. We voice our concerns and suggestions so we can help find a solution to the problems we incur on a daily basis. We need to have social text as an app so we can communicate in real time not only during work hours.

For my money, it is best to use Workflowy for all areas of focus in my daily life. When I start to separate information, notes, convo's that's when I run into trouble. By using Workflowy for everything, I keep my sanity and my effectiveness. I cannot think of any environment where the Workflowy app would not work out extremely well!

• I know they have improved their UI recently but when i used it last year it did not really have any design elements which could be used to make the articles look more presentable. It was important for us as we used it for external communication as well.

• Insert a more affordable Tier between Pro and Free
• Provide the capability to add separate files for different projects and areas of focus

We have a lot of info in Socialtext already. It would be hard to get all that info out and port it to a different system

I now have 12+ years of notes stored in Workflowy - everything from song lyrics to book outlines to classroom notes. It makes it VERY easy to find, VERY easy to sort, and VERY easy to organize.

I can only compare to free services or to Outlook. I cannot go back to Outlook... Truly. Outlook hits all the right marks for a business, and Missive exceeds those marks and sets new standards. I joined a company that had already chosen Missive. I not only was able to pick it up intuitively, but I felt proficient at it within a couple of weeks and already felt my workflow and communication skyrocket.

I frankly like Confluence better than socialtext because of the speed and the quality of search. They also have better design elements which can help make the articles pleasant to the eyes.

Workflowy seems to have less constraints than those other products. It is easier to use and more versatile.

• Overall efficiency in our communication has probably tripled. We can draw a collaborative conclusion, in-office or remote, desktop or remote, within minutes assuming we are all available.
• We realize we are still "under-utilizing" this app. It can be a powerhouse if mastered.

• We listen and have discussions

• I estimate that Workflowy easily saves me 1.5 - 2 hours each day in streamlined productivity. That calculates, for my organization approximaely $500.00 a month!
