OnePageCRM

OnePage is great for any company with a sales team. Onepage is great for lead tracking, and showing all communication in one place. Its timeline is easy to use and understand. OnePage also makes it easy to manage a sales team. Their reporting capabilities are excellent and it is a great way to track deals.

Technolutions Slate

I am not an end-user but use Slate as an "outsider" since I'm in IT. I use it to verify data coming to and from our SIS PeopleSoft Campus Solutions. That being said, I think it is robust and easy for most to use. It is clearly seen as the "Best in Breed" for CRM/Recruiting/Admissions systems. I am a firm believer in going with such systems. There are strength and power in numbers. Technolutions is rather nimble and responsive with updates and addressing needs.

  • It uses a split screen: one half is your action stream, the other is for a selected contact. This is really helpful.
  • You can do mass actions-- like rescheduling a group of actions for another day.
  • "Tags" are a handy feature... it's sophisticated enough to trigger automated follow-ups in our mail service, Klaviyo

  • The ability to interface with all or many VoIP services would be top of my priority list
  • Skype is not a favourite of mine, but Google hangouts is which is now included with OnePageCRM
  • The ability to create email templates would be good. I have a separate app for that, but it would be good to have it on board

  • Probably just the aesthetics of layout.
  • The layout and user friendliness of the mobile app.
  • As much as I love their organic marketing strategy, I would love marketing material to share with other schools while I'm on the road. [Youtube demo, clean social media channels, etc]

We use all these software for task management and email marketing. OnePage doesn't send out mass emails and we needed a more robust task management system, so we use SharpSpring and Asana as well.

Technolutions Slate

We used Ellucian recruit that is based on Microsoft Dynamics, I must say that Slate is much simpler to use and navigate for everyday user. While Dynamics is very powerful and robust tool it is really hard to navigate and keep track of campaigns and prospects. Slate is simplified version of dynamics and better suited for users who are in higher ed, while dynamics is more for "sales" in enterprise world. Education world is different.
