Planview Daptiv vs. Trimble ProjectSight vs. ZilicusPM

I would recommend Daptiv for anyone who is look for a collaborative tool that is easy to use and provides excellent results for project management and resource allocation. The tool offers many various capabilities and is not isolated for use with one or two workgroups. Its versatility allows many workgroups across many different organizations to use it. In my previous role, I used Daptiv in both a Project Management and Account Services Information Technology role. In my current workplace, I would like to leverage Daptiv for Product Launch and tracking as well as change request visibility in the Release Management Organization of a pharmaceutical company. Both roles and companies are vastly different however Daptiv would serve a great purpose in both situations although my needs are different.

I would probably recommend Trimble ProjectSight (Prolog) over Procore, as it is an easier user interface and typically avoids any problems with the users. I would say that it does take some getting used to, but once you are used to it it is pretty easy to use. This would be good for a residential home in construction.

ZilicusPM is suited for any business that has difficulty managing and keeping track of office related work as well as project management. Its an efficient way to manage just about anything necessary. It is well-suited for our office, as structural/civil engineers - we are able to keep track of our projects as well as office/human resources related work.

• Resource allocation, when fully integrated provides a in depth view of what everyone is working on, as well as their availability.
• Portfolio reporting provides a good view of where all projects are at in their lifecycle.
• Time tracking is simple to use.

• Change orders: great way to send and document official communications to subs and clients.
• Drawings: always good to have drawings and info readily available.

• ZilicusPM is great for an office regarding meetings and site visits. It's hard to keep track manually of where everyone is at. By sharing our calendars through ZilicusPM, we are able to access where someone is within a few seconds!! It is very convenient and less of a hassle.
• This a great tool to use to manage all documents that enter in and out of our office for certain projects. It is hard to keep track of everything through our office, so this programs helps us manage things very efficiently.
• This is great for prioritizing! I know many people in our office have an issue to do so. With the Project Issue Management feature, we are able to do this more effectively without causing any stress to our employees!

• In my opinion, APIs / integrations are sometimes coming to their limit
• In my experience, no general archive available - therefore data sets cannot be frozen
• Data roll-up for different hierarchy levels (program / project / sub-project) is very limited, in my opinion.

• The only thing I would suggest that needs room for improvement is that you should break down Zilicus PM into different sectors. What I mean by this is that you branch off this program into different areas of expertise like accounting, engineering, etc. Every business is managed differently, so other options should be provided to accommodate each field.
• Other than that, I am very pleased with this program. It was WELL worth the investment. Saving a lot of time and money spent per worker by using this!

As previously mentioned, we were not able to get the product to solve our particular problem. After time spent implementing a custom solution, it was the decision of the executive team to discontinue the agreement. The costs of training the team didn't outweigh the cost of hiring an employee to do the translation of schedules to web view.

The main thing that I have to apologize for is the UI. Does the job but just not the flexible responsive experience that most users are used to.

In the 3 years I have worked with Daptiv I think it is been down once. The ONLY partial outages I have ever had have been with report automation.

I recommend using daptiv resources on your implementation to help with setup and training.

AdaptiveWork might not necessarily have robust Analytical abilities that Daptiv IBM Cognos BI tool have, but from the introduction I have seen of the product it has impressive capabilities. It is still work in progress and still learning about AdaptiveWork and looking forward to implementing and supporting it in the near future.

I have only used Procore otherwise, and from what I remember Procore does not have as many features in terms of keeping track of CD documents, and organizing RFI's like Trimble does. I think overall Trimble ProjectSight (Prolog) is a better product, and if it was up to me I would pick Trimble ProjectSight (Prolog) over Procore.

We have used Microsoft Project for years. We loved it until we found ZilicusPM. ZilicusPM is more efficient and directive in our field. Microsoft Project does not provide as many features as ZilicusPM does. I am extremely grateful for having found ZilicusPM. It was recommended to us by an architectural firm that swore by this software.

• I am in the process of establishing a hard dollar ROI received from Daptiv. However, there have been many soft dollar benefits we have achieved. Soft benefits include IT teams that are more aligned to business objectives, "one version of the truth" for where work is being performed and resources consumed, and more accurate estimation of project requests.

• A positive impact that ZilicusPM has made is we are able to work more efficiently and prioritize what needs to be sent out, what invoices need to be sent out to clients, where are project engineers at certain time of day, etc.
• We also have a higher ROI. I am able to manage what invoices need to be sent out without having to track people down for a summary of the work , which is extremely time consuming. I am able to get more invoices out while returning a higher investment for the company.
• A negative impact it has made is we had to hire someone to manage this software entirely. It is very time-consuming for myself to manage and make sure everything is entered in correctly. We hired someone who is familiar with ZilicusPM and is able to certify all work.
