Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are a small company, but compliance and HR demands are size-blind. Having the vast resources available in one portal is crucial to my ability to handle the volume of administrative work. Even something basic like handling payroll is super easy. I get reminders that my deadline is approaching, if payroll is unusually sized, and if I forgot to pay someone who usually gets paid. I also love the HR portal, where background checks are easy and included (for the basic plan). Lastly, employee setup is very easy.

Pros

Payroll - running weekly payroll is easy and can be done from anywhere.
Reporting - Whether it is PTO or tax forms, reporting is critical. I like the favorites section too, for frequently run reports.
Background checks - the basic reporting provides a sense of relief that your new people are okay. It is easy to navigate.

Cons

I have said this before. PTO balances should be available right in payroll. I shouldn't have to go to a report to see if someone has enough PTO.
It would be nice if there were a system-wide favorites list so that I could easily click on HR apps from the main page.

Return on Investment

Run essentially replaces a part-time employee - since I can do what I need on my cell phone whenever I need, I don't need to spend 5 hours a week doing HR and payroll management.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

In our office, RUN Powered by ADP® is utilized for biweekly payroll and occasional tax documents when warranted. I love the ease of using this application and knowing that I can use it as a referenced guide as well for unexpected situations or when I need to learn about a specific topic.

Pros

Entering the payroll is very user friendly. Love how I get verification emails once payroll is submitted.
Navigating through the site is user friendly especially when trying to find tax documents or HR documents.
Needing to make changes to an employee's profile is not difficult and if any information is missing, it alerts me before submitting.

Cons

Since I really only utilize it for payroll and occasional documents, I am happy with RUN Powered by ADP® as is. Of course, one can never go wrong with improving.

The details on the payroll sheets really assist when it comes to tax time and gives enough information for upper management as to his/her employees hours, etc.

We use ADP for payroll, time and attendance, and a few HR adjacent things, like handbooks. It freed up time to run our business in bigger ways and spend less time fretting about making sure people are paid correctly, taxes are paid, and we are in compliance with federal and state regulations regarding payroll.

We originally switched to RUN Powered by ADP® due to compliance reasons around payroll tracking and retirement benefits. Since then, we've found that they were best in class and price for us in multiple areas including: HR Compliance, Benefits administration, payroll, scheduling, time tracking, and job board posting. Its getting used by our employees multiple times a day and our managers use it every few weeks to confirm benefits with our team members.

Cons

The ability to customize the language that goes out to our employees
Certain onboarding for new employees can't be opted out
Most of the services all have different people that are the contact person which means that quoting out services or issues between multiple functions send you bouncing between different reps.

Return on Investment

It's saved the management team around 10 hours a week of time keeping and payroll management.
When making the jump from a tiny business with 1-2 other employees to a team of people, it brought a level of professionalism to the company that made it feel more like a real job.
The retirement and worker's comp benefits and the ability to price out with different insurance providers has likely saved us more than $25,000 in the last 3 years.
