We use Arcoro's Exaktime, and it help us remain organized specially to keep actual and accurate track of employees time while at jobsites, we need to keep and manage a good control of field employees as the move around with multiple jobsites that in most cases leads them to a multiple pay rates due to contract requirements.

Great for What We Need

We are a landscape construction company. The fact that it tells me that a person is clocking in or out outside the jobsite location is very helpful. I do wish that the location of the clock-out wasn't shown as the crow flies. It would be helpful to see more realistic driving spots. What I do not like is when someone tells me they forgot to clock back in after lunch. They can tell me any time they would like is when they return, and I can not dispute it because there is no crumb trail while clocked out. I don't know if this falls in this area. I am no longer allowed to export my QB hours for a Thursday on Thursday evening. I have to wait to do my payroll on Friday morning, which is late for getting it to the person that delivers the checks. While guys are clocked in and working, the crumbs will show them going down the street, over to other locations that I know they are not.

  • The location of clock-out is not always the same as the clock-in location. May add the option of changing the clock-out location if different
  • Copy one person's timesheet to another person
  • location tags appear in another person's residence a few houses away or down the street. We know they are not in that location

  • Great time tracking if your people are honest.
  • Not being able to sync info until the following day is not good for us. It makes more driving for check delivery.

We use Arcoro HR for many different things in our company, but my main focus is Exaktime. I do the payroll for the company. We employ between 235-250 employees and we pay weekly so I rely on Arcoro HR to function properly. Whenever I have an issue, Arbaz Khan, our Customer Success Manager, is quick to respond, and if he doesn't have the answer I need, he points me in the right direction, which I sincerely appreciate! He also does a great job following up to make sure things get handled! A+

Pros

  • Daily approvals in Exaktime have made a huge difference in my workflow
  • Navigation has gotten easier

Cons

  • Since we started using the HUB, I have things listed as jobsites that are not jobsites on Exaktime, I'd like them removed such as DO NOT SYNC, JBLMANG, JENSEN, 1 HOME OFFICE, 2 DM OFFICE I guess they are called "locations" but every once in a while one of our guys will clock into one of them by mistake.
  • When submitting a ticket, quicker response time would be appreciated. Arbaz is quick to respond but the tickets are not responded to very quickly. I think Arcoro HR is a great product but response time is important! Especially when you have a lot of employees counting on a paycheck every Friday.

Arcoro Onboarding is a Time Saver.

Arcoro is a valuable tool for us that streamlines the onboarding of our trade employees at jobsites. We could not successfully onboard the quantity of new hires without Arcoro in our tech stack. Before Arcoro, it took up to 5 business days to properly execute new-hire intake, verification, and training. With Arcoro, we can complete this process in under 8 hours for over 90% of our new hires. That's impressive, given that we onboarded 8,000 in 2025.

Pros

  • Organizing the correct documents for new hires based on state, union local, etc.
  • Automating the E-Verify process.
  • Providing policies and training materials at onboarding.
  • Offering a kiosk mode with mobile devices that makes onboarding both digital and mobile.

Cons

  • EmpTrust has been combative in its approach to working with us to address issues. A new E-Verify partner would be greatly appreciated.
  • Federal and State update forms are delayed in being available within the platform. This causes questions and confusion at onboarding until they're available. Sooner availability would keep the process efficient and reduce data-entry errors that require later changes.

Arcoro HR is our 'Truth' in regards to housing our benefit elections and employee changes to benefits, where we do our open enrollment, applicant tracking and onboarding. In addition, we utilize Arcoro HR for ACA reporting, electronic feeds to our benefit vendors and the employee portal which gives employee access to their paystubs, W2s, required documentation, etc.

Pros

  • Open Enrollment - this is an AWESOME feature. We have over 900 employees and we wouldn't dream of doing this by hand again! Everything legible and every required field filled out.
  • Electronic feeds to the insurance carriers/benefit vendors - this is seamless and we have more issues with the vendors than with Arcoro HR!
  • ACA reporting is something that they handle and it is one less headache that we have to deal with!
  • Applicant tracking that flows into onboarding then into the benefits module!

Cons

  • Email feature to all employees - and whether the email is actually successfully delivered to the employee. Currently, you can only send with no confirmation that it's been accepted.
  • Onboarding into the benefits module - we have added fields in core that we manually have to add as they are not in the onboarding. Wishing there were more fields that we could fill out earlier in the process so that it could all flow without manual input (but we've added a lot!)
  • Friendlier report creation.

Return on Investment

  • Less time with input on the HR side - as our employee population grows we need to be more efficient
  • Less time on the payroll side - since all these items flow from Arcoro HR into our payroll program, it's less we need to do in that system making us more efficient
  • We can bank on correct information coming over from Arcoro HR since there are built in 'checks and balances'
