A longer implementation of learning the ins and outs of BlackLine will improve the success of the system over time. There a quite a few fields we did not use as the organization as a whole did not have them defined prior to implementation.

Our implementation went well. The issues we need to work on now are making sure that we are taking advantage of the streamlining BlackLine has provided and not just doing all that we did before and Blackline's version of the same processes.

You will have to meet up with your final users, approver, internal auditor and accounting policy holder. Everyone has to agree. When you have a well written process, workflow, policy, approval requirement, and control, your implementation process will be much easier.

Change is something you deal with on any new implementation. Users were already experienced with SAP Gen template. This was a new way of doing things so education of everyone was critical to success. Selling folks on this was an easier way to do their job was the key to success.
