Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use BrowserStack to test android, ios apps across real arm64 and X64 devices using the BrowserStack's emulation. We ran python playright to automate CI/CD tests without needing to change device for each test.

It solved,
• High cost of buying multiple physical devices , saved us cost on electricity to recharge them.

Responsive UI, cross browser functionality helps us to use this software test any app before the release.

Pros

The most important thing for us to reproduce bug and broswerstack can do that perfectly.
Logging and automatic logging is the secondary purpose of BrowserStack for us as we really need to understand whats causing a bug or system issue.
Viewing network calls directly from built in tools makes BrowserStack great.
No upstream maintenance is of hardware wear and tear is a pros of BrowserStack. It simplified things

Cons

Local tunnel frequently drops connection which becomes a headache when its suppose to be an automated task.
High pricing when we stack more sessions. Its quite expensive
Peak hour latency causes isssues specially for high end devices

Most Important Features

Local testing is the most important feature for me. BrowserStack will let you do that
The live testing is an impressive feature as it shows us the latest version without need to reload every single time.
Automatic log sessions is good when you our engineers forgot to start logging. Its hassle free

Return on Investment

Unplanned pricing can be a huge headache when team grows and need concurrent test needs to be done.
BrowserStack helped us to cut down hardware and testing costs, electricity costs for charging the hardware devices.
As we can see bugs in pre release rendering in the BrowserStack, there are few to no bugs on our production

We were using BrowserStack mainly for testing the website that we built. Mainly for the purpose of responsiveness testing. BrowserStack made the process of testing the website very simple and easy. We can also take screenshots of bugs that we encountered and it made testing quick and easy for our team. We tested it on multiple browsers as well as tested the site on mobile devices and it was so easy.

I use BrowserStack in my organisations because it’s easy to debug safari bugs right there in my browser as we develop iPhone and iPad apps. It maybe a little expensive but it is way cheaper than buying a bunch of test phones as that can get really expensive quickly. BrowserStack isnt like those other rip-off websites where you have to pay and you don’t get a good test device BrowserStack is a high quality service and I do recommend it to other people as well but sometimes it can get a little bit choppy depending on my device when my Wi-Fi slows down a little so Thats a bummer but I recommend BrowserStack to freelancers like me.
