Chose BrowserStack
BrowserStack was cheaper so we went with it instead.
Chose BrowserStack
We use BrowserStack not because we consider it the best but because it's good enough and has other pros.
Maybe LambdaTest has one function that we love and we need but BrowserStack is well known and is good enough for our needs.
It is easy to use and everyone can make it work, …
Chose BrowserStack
I looked into other software, but I did not find any of them to be as intuitive as BrowserStack. It was easy to use and had all of the devices we required for testing. The pricing structure also suited the needs of our team. Other team members had familiarity with BrowserStack …
Chose BrowserStack
The main, direct competition to Browserstack is CrossBrowserTesting platform. It is very similar really. Has the same features plus a few more i.e. you can connect it to Slack and JIRA which we are using on daily basis. You can also take multiple screenshots of various devices …

Chose BitBar
There wasn't a lot of differences so I went with what i was already familiar with which is CrossBrowserTesting

BrowserStack
Tests that do not interact with hardware or firmware and are exclusively cloud-based are excellent for BrowserStack testing. I'm not able to use BrowserStack for tests that rely on a Bluetooth connection to a separate piece of hardware, so I have to rely on a framework like Katalon that can give me a local Appium bridge to run tests on a tethered device. If BrowserStack can provide a SaaS solution to this problem, it would be a more attractive option to emerging IoT test automation needs.

CrossBrowserTesting is a great tool to use when you have a new page or new content that you want to test on an array of devices/browsers. In the diverse online world nowadays, it is nearly impossible to ensure optimization for every case. CBT allows you to get closer to that goal.

Pros
BrowserStack
  • BrowserStack App Automate dashboard gives us video, screenshots and logs of what exactly happened during the test run. This helps us easily analyse failures in our automation test and figure out the root cause for failures.
  • BrowserStack App Live provides us with lot of devices to test on. This is specifically useful in case of high end iPhone devices which are costly for us to procure in house.
  • BrowserStack App Automate provides parallel threads which can be shared across multiple teams. This has helped us scale our mobile test automation effort across the organisation.
  • In house mobile lab might be cost effective initially but when it comes to maintaining it and add new devices as and when it comes in market makes it less cost effective than cloud solution like BrowserStack

Cons
BrowserStack
  • Overall performance of usability of the device
  • Overheating conditions could be a useful feature to be included
  • Downloading the app to the Home screen for quick selection would be helpful
  • Screen orientation feature
  • Tablets for additional devices to be tested against
  • Add in a feature to test against wearables

  • Test case support is somewhat limited in customization ability.
  • Not a unique problem to them (or their 'fault'), but content behind VPN or intranet cannot be scanned.
  • Pricing with tier level and features can sometimes be confusing (ie. what is and what is not included).

BrowserStack
It's simply a must-have tool. As a designer, I have to ensure my work is at least functional in older browsers. I also have to ensure that, when I design for mobile devices, any differences between platforms aren't problematic. BrowserStack allows me to test my work in a fraction of the time, with a whole lot more accuracy.

Usability
BrowserStack
It integrates directly in internal networks and local development. The point and click interface of choosing your device, pick the browser/version and you have a working emulation of that exact environment. What else could you ask for? I've set our least computer savvy users up with BrowserStack for testing in minutes. It feels like it's just part of your local environemnt.

Performance

I would thank to BrowserStack that they provide wide range of devices to test with so we catch the any defect, UI issues in early development of product. We also surprised by local test environment performance. It's reduce lot of development time.

Support Rating
BrowserStack
I'm saying a 10 for support for BrowserStack only based on feedback from the development team. I myself have never had to reach out to support for any questions or issues, but others in the company have. From my conversations with them, the support was fantastic and had been a pleasure working with the BrowserStack team.

Alternatives Considered
BrowserStack
BrowserStack's library of devices and browsers is way bigger than Chrome DevTools. Additionally, I find that BrowserStack is more accurate than Chrome DevTools in regards to how pages render on the various devices I need to test on. Overall, BrowserStack is far better than Chrome DevTools.
