Helpful tool in the arsenal

Rating: 7 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use it as the head of business development at our agency. It's a great tool for us to manage our clients, prospects, and warm leads, as well as a way to remember to regularly communicate with this group on a frequent but not annoyingly often cadence. I also export entries from the database for use in physical mailings as we do client gifting.

Pros

  • database management
  • client and lead organization
  • mass personalized outreach

Cons

  • direct integration with mailchimp
  • additional trainings
  • zoominfo like tools to get contact info for potential leads you might not have the details for yet

Likelihood to Recommend

I think it's great for what I do but as a team of one on the business development side of the agency, it's not really useful for other departments. The exception might be our head of production as he has a lot of production companies and vendors that he likes to keep details for.

Copper is worth it

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Copper to manage both our active sales pipeline, referral partners and active client lists. The business solutions it provides are to house all of the client information, custom field data and the active management of the various stages in the client lifecycle. The scope of our use case spans our entire business, we use Copper, and although we don't use the lead/convert function in the typical way- we start directly in our sales pipeline and move clients through the various stages. We then transfer them into active client pipeline and manage records there. We use the task automations and the custom fields quite heavily.

Pros

  • API with Slack; allowing visibility to opps moving across stages to folks who don't need/use Copper but are still part of our organization
  • task automations attached to particular triggers and events
  • allows for custom field records on opps, companies, people records

Cons

  • connecting custom field data across opps in different pipelines and company records
  • additional sales insight abilities to dashboard not just on value and owner, but also more about demographics of client profiles

Likelihood to Recommend

Copper is well suited for companies that acquire many contacts, which spill into the leads module and then convert into pipelines. We don't necessarily use it this way- we start opps right in the sales pipeline directly and move the opp tiles through that process. It's also really good for businesses that have a team of sales people, as you can do a lot of granular reporting on wins/close rate/time to acquisition per owner-- this doesn't apply to us, as we are a smaller business and all sales opps are owned by one individual.

Terrific CRM going into 2026 for sales.

Rating: 10 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Primary CRM for keeping track of new contact inquiries and customers. Use pipelines to track new projects and leads, assign costs to each project, and keep track of each company's names and contact information.

Pros

  • Automatic integration with Google Suite.
  • Pipelines for tracking current projects.
  • Automatic notifications based on certain workflow triggers.

Cons

  • Integration with more email clients such as Superhuman.
  • Better UI for displaying emails in feeds.
  • Better UI for tracking phone calls.

Likelihood to Recommend

Would highly recommend Copper as it is well-suited for sales CRM. Pricing: It is significantly more affordable than larger CRMs, such as Salesforce. Ease of Use: Extremely simple to use, as automatic integration with Google Suites makes automatic syncing to all emails instantaneous. Pulls all contact information for names and company data.

Accessible CRM for SMBs.

Rating: 8 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Copper to track all communications with my clients. I love the ability to see all documents exchanged with each person on their profile. I also create unique attributes and organize my clients into groups to quickly email them information on tax preparation, upcoming deadlines, and additional services I'm offering.

Pros

  • Track correspondence between clients and prospects.
  • Ability to create unique attributes to track different clients and email clients using specific merge fields.
  • Create email templates.

Cons

  • Make creating templates easier to find.
  • Update/refresh filtered data more clearly.

Likelihood to Recommend

Copper is ideal for small to large companies in tracking communications between clients and prospects. This has worked well for my business as the only owner. The dashboard is easy to navigate. There are many more features in the software than are necessary for a small-business owner like me. I requested a reduced fee because my use case is so limited, and it would be great if Copper offered this to more small businesses. I like the interface because it mimics Gmail and seems accessible for the average small business owner.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Copper is used as a database for our contact information and relationships with customers and new leads. It can be helpful for creating new, filtered mailing lists about specific events. Given the customizable fields Copper allows, I think there is a lot of room for improvement in the reporting features and the Leads/filtering workflows.

Pros

  • Customizable fields.
  • Interaction visibility.
  • User interface design.

Cons

  • Reporting (inclusion of more custom fields).
  • Leads workflow (once made into a Contact, they should still be trackable as having once been a Lead).
  • Filtering (allowing for better customization of fields to include and exclude at the same time).

Likelihood to Recommend

Copper is well-suited to creating new mailing lists and targeting announcements based on different customized fields. Copper is less appropriate for reporting based on customer interactions and leads.

Stellar CRM with Game Changing Gmail Integration.

Rating: 8 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Copper has been my CRM for years. It does everything necessary to keep track of client interactions and all the data I need to remember. It also integrates seamlessly with Gmail, so it pulls all the information I want about clients and prospects straight into the CRM, so I typically don't have to hunt for details that are already available.

Pros

  • Tracking client interactions via email.
  • Automatically populating data.
  • Grouping and batch emailing client groups.

Cons

  • Automated outreach workflows are not easy like Reply.io.
  • Some features are unnecessary for my use case and can't be hidden.
  • Batch emailing is only in higher tier plans.

Likelihood to Recommend

I think Copper is great for small businesses working in Gmail. This is honestly why I never moved away from Copper. I haven't used it in a larger business setting, but I can imagine it would work well.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Copper for CRM for tracking all communication with prospects, clients, network contacts, investors, partners, and more. Cons

  • Can't have one person assigned to multiple companies
  • Sometimes confusing layers of opportunities and companies
  • Gmail integration needs to be refreshed sometimes

Likelihood to Recommend

It's well suited for a company that needs a CRM in order to track its relationships but doesn't need a crazy big outbound strategy built into it as well.
