Overall Satisfaction with Copper

We use Copper to manage both our active sales pipeline, referral partners and active client lists. The business solutions it provides are to house all of the client information, custom field data and the active management of the various stages in the client lifecycle. The scope of our use case spans our entire business, we use Copper, and although we don't use the lead/convert function in the typical way- we start directly in our sales pipeline and move clients through the various stages. We then transfer them into active client pipeline and manage records there. We use the task automations and the custom fields quite heavily.

Pros

  • API with Slack; allowing visibility to opps moving across stages to folks who don't need/use Copper but are still part of our organization
  • task automations attached to particular triggers and events
  • allows for custom field records on opps, companies, people records

Cons

  • connecting custom field data across opps in different pipelines and company records
  • additional sales insight abilities to dashboard not just on value and owner, but also more about demographics of client profiles
  • Copper has allowed us to manage 1,000s of contacts, and all of our active clients
  • Copper has positively allowed us to track historical activity of client and prospective client interactions
  • Copper has saved us time via the task automations; and minimized the risk for missing steps
It's an easy to use interface and pretty intuitive. The pipeline visualization in the card form is particularly easy to get a bird's eye view of the clients in various stages. The API with Slack makes it easy to call out when clients hit different stages. The API with Quickbooks and DocuSign allows even more connectivity for us that really helps manage the various tasks associated with client onboarding and account management/invoicing.

Do you think Copper delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Copper's feature set?

Yes

Did Copper live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Copper go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Copper again?

Yes

Copper is well suited for companies that acquire many contacts, which spill into the leads module and then convert into pipelines. We don't necessarily use it this way- we start opps right in the sales pipeline directly and move the opp tiles through that process. It's also really good for businesses that have a team of sales people, as you can do a lot of granular reporting on wins/close rate/time to acquisition per owner-- this doesn't apply to us, as we are a smaller business and all sales opps are owned by one individual.
