Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Cvent Event Management for our main conference and training purposes. We are now utilising it for events when we have offsite events and able to register attendees through the link.

Cvent Event Management allows easy registration for attendees, reports and keeps everything in one place and constantly updated

Adding in multiple discussions within sperate audience segments at the same time - for staff rather then using teams on site
Giving the option on site to make registration process for new attendees abit easier - can be time consuming
creating the registration - sometimes the suggested causing issues when publishing. Its not always required

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Cvent Event Management to orchestrate each of our in person or online learning events (conferences, seminars, etc). We use it for registration, session management, post event feedback, and issuing of education credits. It suits our needs because the objective of our organization is to serve the community with IT related education events.

Anyone running events of varying scale (small to large) will benefit from using Cvent Event Management. It is a flexible and easy to manage platform. We have had several administrators over a 10+ year period and get a lot of value out of it. It processes payments very easily as well.

Cvent Event Management is a crucial part of webinar event planning. Since I have started my professional career, I have utilized Cvent across companies and haven’t had a bad experience whatsoever. The ease of use and ability to send invites through the platform is amazing! It’s an all in one event planning software.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Event Management for our Gala dinner and also our annual conference. We have many different registration types and needed a system to coordinate the different messages to each type, collect payment, and provide a mobile app. After using the system, we expanded to use the Abstract collection, on arrival, Diagraming, and considering more!

Pros

Keeps track of emails to attendees and their preferences.
Reporting - we can get reports on almost anything you need.
Design - so many different ways you can set up the registration pages and design.

Cons

Exhibitor management - is getting better but feels a bit clunky.
App - do attendees even want apps anymore, usage is going down, so maybe it is not giving attendees what they need?

The system is great for registering for your event, including session add-ons, taxes, and more. It can manage different access and visibility to different sessions or prices based on the reg type. For smaller events, it is just too pricey and does not make sense to use.

We use Cvent Event Management to manage our events, they have been getting very complex and with the tools that Cvent Event Management offers we have been able to manage it properly, we don't always have the perfect answer but with so many available tools we always find a work around or a way to deliver them in the best possible way, when it comes to registrations, on-site check in and integrations Cvent Event Management has been a huge help!

Pros

Managing registrations and keeping historical data
Logic in the back end for grouping registrations and specific data
Reporting on all areas, revenue, registration numbers, attendee lists, etc...

Cons

They could improve their AI, having just a text creator or reviewer I think it's too basic nowdays
Design and UX
Complex groupings like the audience segment could be improved

Badge printing and managing on-site check-in, changes etc is great! Registration forms are also very complete and can work with advanced logic for visibility criteria. Emails are great, easy to manage and filter and also easy to create templates with data tags. Another great feature is the reporting which is super easy and thorough

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Cvent Event Management differently for various events. For our smaller in-person events (less than 50 people), we use it simply as a registration tool. For our large conference (500+ people), we use it for registration, event website creation, conference app development, reporting, badge creation and printing and many other features. Cvent Event Management offers a wide range of features that we found lacking in other options we reviewed and is consistently upgrading options to meet the needs and feedback of its customers.

Pros

Connection between conference website and Attendee Hub app (sharing information and resources automatically)
Providing timely and accurate reports
Allows me to customize the registration information I request from attendees

Cons

Missing functionality - ability to add documents to sessions on the website (can add on Attendee Hub, but not on the external-facing website)
It can be frustrating toggling around the attendee list - when I click into a registration to view something, then click back out, it takes me to the very top of the registration list again instead of where I just was.
"How to" documents can be hard to find and sometimes require calling customer service to figure out how to do things.

Likelihood to Recommend

Well suited - This product is great for a large conference where a lot of functionality is needed such as reporting features and a conference app.

Less appropriate - This product would probably not work for a smaller organization just looking for some basic registration features. It may be a bit overwhelming and costly for that type of group.

We are using Cvent as our single source of truth for all event data. We're a large organization with over 400 employees and we're producing over 600 global events annually, with thousands more at the local and regional level. Cvent is critical to creating data consistency and clearly defined parameters that everyone in the organization must follow.

I think Cvent works well for small organization as well as large. There are some small improvements that could be made to the large scale portfolio level cross-event reporting capabilities but I know that Cvent is working on these. The biggest win for us has been implementation and utilization of the meeting request forms.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Cvent Event Management is our primary hybrid event platform. We run a large hybrid meeting annually with >100 livestreams and 200 total sessions. The Cvent Event Management app and Attendee Hub are indispensable tools for all attendees, both in-person and virtual. Because of our confidence in the platform and its tremendous functionality and configurability, we're utilizing it increasingly for smaller, mostly virtual, events throughout the year, as well.

Pros

Highly configurable, with a wide range of options for virtual, in-person, and hybrid events
An optimal blend of functionality with ease of use, including a strong and well-communicated road map
Pragmatic yet visionary incorporation of AI for enhancing event building, production, and attendee experience
Robust and reliable, particularly given the complexity of the underlying architecture

Cons

Growth emphasis seems slanted towards trade shows and events vendor integrations (less so on educational/attendee features)
Because of rapid incorporation of new functionality, documentation can lag behind the current platform
Complexity is growing, so the platform requires a significant investment of time and coordination to fully leverage

The breadth of features is such that Cvent Event Management is a strong choice for events of significant scope and complexity, particularly in volume and diversity of programming. The learning curve may be on the steep side for customers with simpler needs, though Cvent Event Management is addressing this by providing more streamlining in their solution suite.

We use Cvent for both in-person and online events. We require accurate data from our event programs for lead management and related marketing purposes.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We used Cvent Event Management for our registration platform and for our mobile app for a few years. The registration product is good, but extremely expensive. The mobile app is not as good and there are better and more affordable options available. We have two large conferences a year and Cvent Event Management tracks registration, payments, we have a different registration path for our members and can have different email confirmations.

The product is good over all, but extremely expensive for what you get. It's better suited for an organization that needs to use all of the many features included. If you have a small staff, it does take a lot of work off of someone's plate to deal with processing registrations well.
