Overall Satisfaction with Cvent Event Management

We use Event Management for our Gala dinner and also our annual conference. We have many different registration types and needed a system to coordinate the different messages to each type, collect payment, and provide a mobile app. After using the system, we expanded to use the Abstract collection, on arrival, Diagraming, and considering more!

Pros

  • Keeps track of emails to attendees and their preferences.
  • Reporting - we can get reports on almost anything you need.
  • Design - so many different ways you can set up the registration pages and design.

Cons

  • Exhibitor management - is getting better but feels a bit clunky.
  • App - do attendees even want apps anymore, usage is going down, so maybe it is not giving attendees what they need?
  • Make us look more professional.
  • We work smarter and more efficiently.
It takes a bit of work to really understand how the system works and what is connected. But it is worth it to take the time, do the training to learn. Once you get the Ah Ha moment, then everything starts to flow better, and you can see how it will work.

The system is great for registering for your event, including session add-ons, taxes, and more. It can manage different access and visibility to different sessions or prices based on the reg type. For smaller events, it is just too pricey and does not make sense to use.
