Deel is great for freelancers to get paid

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I get paid through Deel. I work as a contractor in a Interpreting company. It is a good platform to get paid, it has interesting services such as get advances of your payments and so. Also, it gives you some rewards with discounts in different apps. The only thing is the fees to pay once you wanna withdraw to your local bank account (in Ecuador are little high 25 dollars each time)

Pros

  • advances to your payment
  • bunch of withdrawal methods
  • Deel card
  • easy to use

Cons

  • Fees for local bank withdrawal

Likelihood to Recommend

It is well suited when you work as a contractor or freelancer remote for a company based outside your country, so it is a good way to get paid and to work in different projects. Even, you can get paid by objectives done. Less appropriated is if your company is in your country. Maybe there you should get a legal contract with all the benefits

unclear and uncommunicated rules abusive charges

Rating: 1 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

They use it for the payment of my monthly salary and translate the money to my bank account

Pros

  • Easy to use for both the company and the contractor.

Cons

  • They should go back to having no withdrawal limit; it is becoming quite expensive if you receive more than six thousand dollars per month.
  • They have charges that you describe as free, but in reality, since it is done via bank transfer, there is a cost involved.

Likelihood to Recommend

I cannot recommend an application that lacks clarity about its fees and changes its terms of use arbitrarily.

Great Work Deel

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

My company uses this for accessing my time tracker, payment, and contract.

Pros

  • User-friendly interface
  • accessible
  • ease of use

Cons

  • The verification letter needs improvement. I notice the Spreetail logo was added, but it still needs to look more professional. When submitted to the government or a bank, it looks like it's edited and not really professional-looking.

Likelihood to Recommend

This is my first time using this kind of app, hence no comparison yet, but for a first-time user, I would say it was easy to navigate due to a user-friendly interface.

Deel is your Freelancer best friend

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

As a virtual freelancer and Contact center employee, I've come across every type of HR software. Using Deel has significantly improved how I handle contracts, payments, and compliance issues with international clients. I was really surprised that you can even manage the TAX documents of Caribbean countries such as the Dominican Republic. It has a User-friendly interface, is clean and easy to navigate.

Pros

  • HR could handle all of my contracts, payroll, and benefits in one software
  • Really easy to navigate
  • Withdrawal Miracle

Cons

  • The conversion rates are a little bit high
  • Customer service has its delays and it's sometimes just slow
  • Feels a bit rigid with agreements customization

Likelihood to Recommend

As a freelancer with previous and current international contracts, I was signing compliance contracts and receiving international payments with so much hassle. When the company changed to Deel, it was just a matter of three clicks to be able to sign contracts and files. I received my invoices in minutes, and the payment had a DATE!

Deel is pretty decent.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Deel to pay our staff, ensure they receive their commission, and ensure they have and receive all their tax documents for when they need to file their taxes. We use it for all of our employees, domestic and international, full-time and contract. It’s a great payment solution.

Pros

  • Pay reliably.
  • Tax forms.
  • Support

Cons

  • Website navigation.
  • Reporting.
  • Analytics.

Likelihood to Recommend

It’s great for any organization with 30 people or more and is good if you have unique cases, such as full-time and contract employees or if you have employees in other countries. It would be less ideal for early start-up companies or mom-and-pop shops with a couple of employees.

Great Experience with Deel

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It was the best experience with a platform to manage payments from the company as a freelancer.

They have an absolutely amazing UX of the Interface and cover all my user needs. Very smooth.

I can definitely recommend the Deel platform to my friends. Clear communication. Clear expectations.

In my opinion, 100 miles ahead of old cars like Rippling.

Pros

  • Clear communication
  • Clear expectations
  • Speed of platform work
  • Delightful experience with the interface
  • Great UI

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It helps EOR to manage their salary, payments, and time off in a single place. It also provides a way to withdraw money using the Deel card.

Pros

  • Manage EOR across locations
  • Help EOR manage their payments
  • Help employers manage EOR across the world

Cons

  • Withdraw money directly from ATMs using Deel's card
  • Automatically transfer payments to bank accounts and/or wallets

Likelihood to Recommend

Deel is well-suited for employers handling EOR across the world with a single platform. EOR or contractors can see all their payments in an intuitive platform. FTE may not find it suitable since benefits are not included.

Underwhelming

Rating: 1 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

My company uses Deel to manage remote teams payroll and legal status

Pros

  • Marketing
  • Brand
  • Useless offers

Cons

  • Support
  • Communication
  • Transparency

Likelihood to Recommend

I think Deel sounds really good on paper, the problem they are addressing is important and their impact could be huge on both their clients and their employees. In actuality, in my experience, Deel failed to meet the minimum expectations every time they were needed.

The processing of the visa was delayed multiple times, and, in my opinion, the process is full of inefficiencies.

The employee is asked to use the portal to upload their documents, the portal looks good and is comprehensive but, in my experience, is never used by the Deel team and the employee is asked for the same information and documents every time.

First payroll was delayed, the rest so far has been arriving on time.

The health insurance coverage had interruptions and the support to recover insurance was delayed and underwhelming.

In my experience, every government application where you'll need them will take 10 times the normal time and cost 10 times the normal cost.

In my opinion, the support is really lacking, you will need to reach out over chat to a team that I believe has no knowledge nor ability and is always blocked by other teams that you cannot reach to.

Deel is the modern solution for managing international employees

Rating: 9 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Deel as our Employer of Record for our international employees. We were previously using a Global PEO and found that the pricing model was far too bloated for our needs. Once we started looking around for new solutions, we found that Deel offers everything we were getting from our Global PEO at a much more cost-effective price point.

Pros

  • Easy to understand UI
  • Modern user experience
  • Easy administration, clear employer action items

Cons

  • More clear understanding of fees
  • Integration with Rippling

Likelihood to Recommend

Deel is an excellent option for any business looking to hire or manage international employees and/or contractors. Deel provides a modern experience for employees and provides the employer with the peace of mind that employees are hired, paid, and administratively managed in a compliant way. Using Deel allows us to focus less time on the administrative stuff that comes with hiring and managing international employees, and more time on the stuff that matters.

Great for going global with your team!

Rating: 10 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We used it to be able to manage contracts, payments and invoices for our global team which was based in over 30 countries. Deel also allowed one-click payments which were really useful to pay in different currencies and created automated invoices which were things that was really beneficial both for us and our team, and and saved a lot of time.

Pros

  • Automated invoices
  • Payment in different currencies
  • Contract management

Cons

  • Customer Support response times
  • Being aware of company specific items
  • Respecting that users know what they're doing

Likelihood to Recommend

If you have an international team, if you are working with different types of employees (e.g. contracts in different countries), if you are working with contractors, if you are planning to global, if you want to streamline your HR contract management and finance team for making payments it's ideal. If you're only based in one country it probably doesn't have much value
