Cons
Sometime we have to use CSS to create experience from scratch.
The pre built template that DY have, they do not have the ability to change the look and feel, brand colour, brand text. We have to use CSS for it
While Dynamic Yield supports app personalization through SDKs, mobile app use cases require more dev involvement and aren't as out-of-the-box as web campaigns.

For us, it is well suited for personalization. Since we are hospitality brand, we have different rooms sales inclusion based on different segmentation like Mem or Non-mem, Global or UAE, we have to personalize our landing pages accordingly so that we show the relevant information to relevant audience. The inactivity pop up box and newsletter signup popups work good for us.
It does not work well in some scenario like Dynamic Yield offers built-in analytics focused on campaign and test performance, but it’s not a replacement for tools like GA4, Adobe Analytics. It lacks deep funnel tracking or complex reporting capabilities.
Dynamic Yield is primarily a no-bottleneck tool we use to personalise content on our website. Although the initial CSS set-up takes time, the payoff has been very fruitful. Unique customisable templates, quick hotfixes on webstore enhancements, and a large variety of campaign types that can be previewed and published in real-time make Dynamic Yield the ultimate game-changer for tailored experiences. Not only will guests see content relevant to them, but this can also be tweaked over time through testing methods that utilize slick components, allowing for effortless measurement. Dynamic Yield also takes A/B testing to another level; users can split allocations beyond just the 50/50 threshold. <span style="font-size: 1rem;">Additionally, a powerful dynamic allocation method can be applied, whereby components with higher engagement will take precedence, making them more prevalent. It solves the business problem of not having enough data-driven actions, without requiring the involvement of a complex development team. Dynamic Yield has shifted from becoming a tool we occasionally use to gather insights to a business necessity imperative for making data-driven decisions.</span>
Pros
Dynamic allocation.
Addressing cart abandonment issues.
Affinity-based targeting.
Pop-ups and banners.
Cons
Brand templates could need complex CSS/custom code.
We'd like to see a little "i" next to specific labels, which elaborates on what is meant. For example, when I hover over "Dynamic allocation," I get something like "An advanced form of A/B testing where the best-performing variations receive higher traffic."
Jargon (for example, for audience targeting) can be overwhelming for new users; therefore, clearer, user-friendly explanations are needed.

It's ideal for testing continuous improvements in user experience - we're achieving good results from A/B testing and multivariate testing, and tracking the impact is very slick and compelling. We currently don't have any Dynamic Yield integrations set up for our app due to the complexities involved. We are also unable to track user behavior on platforms nested outside our domain (such as CTAs on our site that link to external booking engines).
Dynamic Yield serves as our e-commerce team's experimentation and personalization tool. We use the tool extensively for product recommendations, A/B testing, and personalized onsite experiences.
Pros
Gives the user full control with significant flexibility
Great ongoing support from customer success manager (thank you Shaniece!)
Very intuitive platform
Cons
More robust reporting

Dynamic Yield is a great tool to house all experimentation and personalization efforts, especially for a Shopify ecommerce brand. It has templates for beginners, but also allows for full customizability for those with front end development experience. I really like that they have a focused roadmap - they are not trying to be an all-in-one tool like some competitors. They focus on personalization and experimentation.
Dynamic Yield is a great tool that enables you to really scale up A/B/n testing and personalisation in a way that a smallish company by themselves wouldn't be able to achieve. The interface is self-explanatory and has some great options for targeting and audience creation. Having previously used Google Optimize it was easy to move over.
Pros
A/B/n testing to ensure new features are adding value
Audience creation to select specific groups of users to target
Personalisation to change the site depending on the type of user
Cons
Implementation was more involved than with Google Optimize

Great customer support: Our Customer Success Manager [...] previously worked in a company with Dynamic Yield. That's why she already had years of (practical) experience with the tool and was able to give many helpful tips. This support couldn't have been better!
Easy implementation: The onboarding was very professional and the technical support helped with the correct implementation and obtaining correct data.
Easy to use: The tool has many good out of the box solutions that can help you start your first tests straight away. But custom solutions can also be built quickly.
Cons
I am very satisfied with the tool. I can't really say anything negative.

We were not satisfied with our recommendations on our website. That's why we switched to Dynamic Yield. There you can easily develop your own recommendation strategies and monitor their performance.
We use Dynamic Yield for AB testing, product recommendations on-site and in emails, and UX personalization. The tool allows us to very easily build, deploy and measure the various UX changes, user engagement and recommendation strategies. Many of the implementations can be done without any or much development efforts which enables us to test and adjust our strategies, as needed.
Pros
Audience targeting based real-time behavior and/or user attributes
Quick jump start using out-of-the-box templates and strategies
Good insights on campaign and audience performance
Strong account/consulting partnership
Cons
The impact (either positive or negative) of potentially overlapping campaigns, especially the UX personalization or custom code campaigns, may not be easily identifiable.
It would make more sense for the new deep-learning and machine learning (ML) driven strategies be made part of the standard offering, as opposed to positioning them as add-on subscription, given that many other completing services are baking in ML as part of their platform evolution.
The documentation on the API and custom code implementation can be fleshed out further.
