We use Eventbrite for both internal and external RSVP for key trainings. We like that we can keep some events private for internal purposes, but also advertise public events to the wider community. It is nice that you can collect payments, but we normally just offer free events through Eventbrite.
Pros
Event RSVP
Event Advertising/Marketing
Singular place for all event registrations
Event reminders for guests
Cons
Duplicating events with ease
Local advertising
Display layout for primary event image

Eventbrite is perfect for anyone hosting any event that requires a guest count of RSVP. It could be used by a family for a personal summer BBQ RSVP, all the way up to big ticketed concerts! Since it has ticket price collection, there is great ease of use. We also love that it sends people reminders that the event is coming up.
We use EventBrite for selling our ticketed events. The platform is really useful as we have large events that require multiple ticket options and this platform enables us to do that successfully and also enables our customer base to have a single destination to make multiple purchases to the event.
Pros
multiple listing options
ease of use
looks great to our customers
Cons
I have had really good interactions with the website
I personally haven't found any issues with my individual use so far
Likelihood to Recommend
Eventbrite is well suited to anyone that is putting on any type of event that you want to record numbers through ticket sales. Even if the tickets are free or have a cost. It allows a centralised platform for you to be able to analyse the data gathered and also track your event. It also plays into where you would market and project manage your event

I organize events for various organizations.we organized a fund raising diner for our group and it was a donation based event with limited seating so the price of the event was free. Eventbrite loaded us up with false information making the event look full, this caused the event to be a failure. I will never use them again.
Pros
Ease of use
Cons
Accurate statistics
Proper email notification of purchases

I am rating this service as low as possible. We were planning a spaghetti dinner and needed the information for buying decisions. The email counts did not line up with the reported counts. I have the spreadsheets From Eventbrite as we moved through the process. There were many numeric swings, on was even less than the previous download. I also received reservations after the event was showing sold out.
We help our clients manage their Eventbrite accounts, ensure it's a smooth process for their end users and maintain the integration with their website for a great user experience. Eventbrite has helped many of our clients host their events with ease and allow their end users to navigate and use their website through this process in an easy way. In addition, it's been a cost effective program for our clients of all sizes to use.
Pros
ease of use
integrations with websites
setup for events
Cons
allowing more options in the event area
have ran into display issues during integration with websites

Eventbrite is a great tool for a variety of different sized clients and also a variety of industries. We've had success in setting this up and maintaining it for clients who are on the smaller side with just a few events a year and we've also had ones that are much larger offering many more sessions/events annually. We've also been able to successfully scale the type of events that our clients have needed because of the offerings within Eventbrite.

I use Eventbrite to host and organize events for my company. Some of these events are free and some of the events I charge a fee to attend. I find it very helpful that I am able to copy events and duplicate them for future use since they are similar events that take place throughout the year. Having an organized system that allows me to collect attendee information and when appropriate attendee admission fees have been incredibly valuable for me and my team. Eventbrite gives me the flexibility to host as many or as few events as needed and their mobile organizer app means I do not have to be tied to my computer at all times.
Pros
I can host as many or as few events as needed without any upfront commitment or fee
I am able to collect important guest details at the time of registration by using customer questions
I am able to embed the Eventbrite checkout widget onto my company website so that attendees never have to leave my website in order to register for my events.
The onsite check in app is fast and easy so I can quickly welcome guests to my event and know they have registered and paid ahead of time, drastically cutting down on lines.
Cons
The reserved seating functionality is clunky and hard to use. It is not very flexible and has given me serious pains in the past for these specific types of events where I want guests to be able to pick a specific seat at a table for a gala.
The fees can be out of control for events that have a high ticket price. I rarely use Eventbrite for events that cost more than $100 because they charge entirely too much money.

Eventbrite is very user-friendly and such a great tool for free events or events that have a small ticket price. The ability to have a headcount of attendees ahead of time as well as streamline their check-in process using my iPhone and the Eventbrite app has been an absolute game-changer. For larger events or events that have a high ticket price, I cannot recommend Eventbrite due to their fee structure. Even after signing up for an annual contract, I still was experiencing very high Eventbrite fees that made it hard for me to justify the service. Even with the ability to pass the fees on to the attendees, I feel that their fees are too high.
I utilized Eventbrite to register for a music industry panel in the last year. It's simple, trusted, and well known. I have never had issues with the platform, either as a user or as an event planner. With COVID, I have been able to stay connected with industry professionals via events listed on the platform.
Pros
Easy to find relevant events
The checkout process is simple
Accessing your credentials is intuitive
Cons
The app could utilize better push notifications
Data reporting is not as granular as it should be
Likelihood to Recommend
Overall, Eventbrite is the gold standard and should be the benchmark any event producer--physical or digital--should base their decision on.
Well suited for small- to medium-scale events with fewer than four ticket types.
Not well suited to large, multi territory, data intensive events. For the level of effort to customize Eventbrite, it's worth considering a more rigorous enterprise solution.
We produce a weekly online show involving a fireside chat and networking. Eventbrite is great for creating a landing page and registration for this weekly show--and it's free. We also produce in-person events and have used Eventbrite in the past for our paid ticketing. However, now Eventbrite changed their payouts to only pay event producers after an event closes. Our monthly events are starting this fall. Unfortunately we had to find another ticketing platform for our paid in-person events because we can't sustain cash flow with Eventbrite holding our cash for six months or longer. And there's no interest on the cash Eventbrite holds. Each event has around $50k in ticket sales.
Pros
Creating landing pages that stand out and are trusted.
Communicating with attendees pre and post event.
The integration with Zoom is good, though there were some recent changes that have confused our attendees on our weekly virtual show.
Cons
Offering other options for merchant processing--Stripe, PayPal, Square, etc.
Hard to repurpose the weekly events for replay viewing. Have to copy the event and replace the online link with the video link to Youtube.
Likelihood to Recommend
Easy to use, free for online events. Great platform--trusted by many.
Not as good for paid events anymore since they changed their payout policy.
We use Eventbrite across the organization to schedule and register guests for events across 40 communities monthly and quarterly. It allows us to customize and collect information from our community members and track who participates and where to focus efforts for future content and events.
Pros
Makes the event creation process easy but customizable.
Provides a standard template for events (ours and others) that users can easily navigate to get the information they need.
Reports and data are easy to access.
Cons
The event template can start to feel boring and simplistic (not beautiful).
Plugins are not always QA checked or are buggy.

It's great for public events. Not well-suited for smaller events.
We're a PAC (political action committee) which hosts events for our own fundraising, candidates' outreach, and raising political participation among AAPI (Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders). We've a need of open enrollment for all manner of attendees and complex guestlist administration since some / most are repeats, some are new (Young Professionals we want), some are special guests (require data confidentiality), and some are staff (sponsored or fee-free or other) with need to edit, filter, and sort the lists ongoing for trolls, vandals, special access, special notations, accommodations, etc. Eventbrite has long had the most widely known and liked UI/service for event enrollment requiring no special skills or knowledge but moreover simple, elegant, and fast UI thus better for ourselves and guests alike thus improving our branding and registration rates.
Pros
Simple, elegant, clean UI
Guest list admin is everything we want without excess, cruft
System is cloud based thus requires no excess integration, admin beyond a login, link
Affordable rates for top of class workflow
Universally known, no friction or fear generated
Branding is custom and sufficient to balance ours and Eventbrite's
Cons
Complex guestlist sort features to give more fine priority
Recognization of VIP registrants
Host and user profiles so records can be touted if desired
Discounts for nonprofits and charitable organizations
Integrations preferably without Zapier
Explicit related, recommended event controls
Likelihood to Recommend
We're a nonprofit organization so we have a very lean time, labor, and money so the super easy self-explanatory nature makes it easy for our team to admin an event. The simple UI [of Eventbrite] keeps our focus on the event and avoids any headache-inducing tech hurdles. There're just enough user roles to handle multi-staffer admin.
A less appropriate situation is an event that is huge in complexity with a custom workflow and processing which Eventbrite's not built to handle in-house such as multi-step registration, multiple item and category all-select options during registration, multi-event type (not just physical or ticket but virtual goods tracking), more HootSuite-like social media refinery, etc.
We use Eventbrite to process registration for virtual and in-person events. We are a training and consulting organization so it helps us consolidate the signup process along with capturing the data we need for the event. Prior to Eventbrite, we were using a variety of platforms to gather the information and process payment, so it really helped put everything in one place.
Pros
Great dashboard features to track sales
Easy to refund purchases
Header images and videos display nicely on desktop and mobile
Cons
Option to remove the word "ticket" from receipts/purchases as it can cause confusion
Better ability to register someone else for an event as the contact info is linked
Less fees per ticket sold
Likelihood to Recommend
There is a lot of great functionality and it's easy to use as an organizer. However, our event attendees have found it to be a little confusing to sign up -- especially when they are trying to sign up someone else for the event and are not attending themselves. I believe the platform was designed for "ticketed" events -- particularly where this would get you into the event or allow you to show proof of purchase. For our events and training classes, the word ticket isn't really appropriate.
