IRONSCALES just works!
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
As an MSP we resell, deploy and manage client security software including IRONSCALES. We actively monitor clients' email filters and ensure false positives (if any) are whitelisted and if there are any messages reported by the end users as missing, dig them out of quarantine. We use it for both M365 and Google environments.
Pros
- AI driven message scoring
- Banner notifications to end users on a per message basis
- Mostly hands off management
- Deployment is extremely easy for M365
Cons
- Multi-tenant phishing simulations - does not allow for single campaign management
- Google deployment is less than ideal but functional
- Changing product names is confusing
Most Important Features
- Low maintenance - very rare to get a false positive
- URL filter - Keeps even reputable senders on the watchlist in case they've been breached and are sending inadvertent malicious links.
- Attachment filter
Return on Investment
- Understanding its limitations with regards to cyber security education campaigns
- Rigid domain lists. Might be attributed to how we purchase through a distributor but if a client needs to add a monitored domain name, it must be requested instead of allowing me to do it myself.
- Unclear if there have ever been any outages or service disruptions. Since it is monitoring mailboxes and not routing email, there is no outage client side. This could be a benefit but it also means end users might be unprotected during an outage.
